Mixtape: All Bets on Ace: The Mixtape
Label: Def Jam/We the Best Music Group

It seems evident that DJ Khaled is pushing his Artist beyond the limits; his marketing strategy for Ace Hood is that of ingenious proportions. Ace is practically everywhere. Even when Khaled makes an appearance at a club or on TV, by his side is his nifty protégé, Ace Hood.
This is their second mixtape between Khaled and Ace; however this one incorporates more of an original sound than that of the one before, it does include freestyles above other beats, but that’s what comprises the mixtape, lyricism. As soon as you insert the CD into the player, Khaled formally introduces Ace atop Diddy’s Victory beat; Ace literally takes control of the beat from the first verse. With the addition of two or three tracks off his debut album and some off of Khaled’s ‘We Global’ album, DJ Obscene incorporates tracks that catch a good vibe and gives a deeper example of Ace and the reasoning behind his instant success. Interestingly enough, Trick Daddy even adds a surprise cameo in the title track to Ace’s album Gutta. Along with that, the Opa Locka Goon Brisco adds his lyricism to the next hit single, ‘I Don’t See Ya’ll,’ which is another banger in the club. Honestly, Brisco and Ace made a good combination on that song as the hook was catchy and they vibed off each other really well. This is basically a glimpse into things to come from Ace as his album ‘Gutta’ drops on October 14.
On the real, this young artist has a lot of talent. His delivery is amazing; the fact that he can rip a beat and use pronunciation at the time is noteworthy. I gave the album 3 out of 5 clocks for lyricism, originality, delivery, and sound.
Noteworthy tracks include: ‘Get Em,’ ‘Face Good,’ ‘Final Warning,’ ‘Blood Money,’ and ‘From a Small City.’
