Artist: Birdman
Album: Priceless
Label: Cash Money/Universal
I’m not sure what it is but every time Birdman drops an album you just have to respect it! I know he’s not the best artist but it’s definitely something to see when you know where he comes from and how long he has been doing it and he’s still here and very much in the mix of things with the help of his hit single “Money To Blow“. Last year it was “Pop Bottles” but every time he drops it was felt on some level. This album definitely shows all the flaws in his last album though with better production and adding Drake on “Priceless” 3x won’t hurt. Especially with lines such as “An these haters talking like my buzz isn’t enough promotion/An I just lost a fucking Gucci slipper in the fucking Ocean“. Another hit was made over a hard sample with Bun B bringing the finishing touches to the record to complete “Mo Milly“. The “Intro” to me sets thing off and points this album in the right direction even though I think a Rick Ross and Young Jeezy feature on this beat would of made a nice street single to go perfectly with “Always Strapped” ft Lil Wayne & Mack Maine compared to just an Introduction for the album. But on records like “Shinin” featuring T-Pain and his latest single “I Want It All” is where Birdman makes his mistakes on this LP. Key tracks are “4 My Town” ft Drake and Lil Wayne, “Hustle” featuring Gudda Gudda and “Money Machine“.
