Artist: Bone Thugs N Harmony

Album: T.H.U.G.S.

Label: Ruthless
Records

When this album hit the shelves, there wasn’t even any
promotion or advertisement; you just had to see it in the stores. I’m not quite
sure if this is even considered Bone official, because as you know they left
Ruthless a while back. Either way, apparently Ruthless held out on us with this
unreleased material from an undisclosed year. They released it directly from
the lab and the album is definitely reminiscent of the original Bone we all
grew up on, especially if you’re Old School Bone, you know what I mean. This
hit the billboards top 200 on first week sales ranking in at number 73 selling
15,200 units. One of the best things is that all four original members are on
the album with the producers that made Bone.

So Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, and Wish unofficially reunite for
this one time album in T.H.U.G.S. If you’re not familiar with the acronym,
T.H.U.G.S., it stands for Trues Humbly United Gathering Souls, the whole
gimmick they were on since Creepin’ on Ah Come Up. With veteran producers DJ U-Neek, Rick Rock, L.T. Hutton,
this is the real Bone Thugs N Harmony that we all know and vibe to. As soon as
you pop in the CD, you begin hearing all four members talking to a crowd on a
live set with that nostalgic thought; it was like they never fell apart. Next
track Unstoppable, definitely ends
any doubt because as soon as the beat hits the speakers, you already know,
that’s that original Bone. Honestly, just let the whole album flow, if you’re a
true Bone fan, you’ll see what I’m talking about. I would mention most
notables, but it would be the whole damn album.

My opinion, cop the album, reminisce on what Bone Thugs N
Harmony use to be and need to get back to. The style, the flow is still there,
and it’s amazing to hear Bizzy back on the track alongside the other Bone
Thugs. The new material is well worth it, from the beats to the lyrics. Throw
on the CD and just vibe.
