After winning 106
& Park, the Dade County
sensation reached celebrity status practically overnight and over a short
period of time managed to sign to Miami’s own Poe Boy Music Group. David
Lyn was official Poe Boy status within the ranks of Rick Ross, Big Chuck, Flo Rida, and Brisco. Upon the completion of the contract, it was a done deal; he
began working on a nonstop basis reaching the final product of his already
anticipated album. Not waiting for the ink to even dry on the contract yet, he
has already released his first mixtape to a world of anticipated fans
overzealous about hearing brand new music. “Before
the Fame” speaks for itself; this is for you the fans first, second are the
commercial market. This is a glimpse into his music before reaching that
already outlined famed status. “Before the Fame” already proves much evidence
of that glow of guaranteed hits, giving major possibilities that he is definitely
on the verge of stardom. There is no denying that the talent is there, through
written and vocal delivery.

DJ Kronik and Big
Chuck have put together a collection of tracks made for album cuts more than
mixtape tracks, but as you already know, Poe Boy only puts out the best, when
they do it, they always do it big. From this mixtape alone, I can imagine what
the album will consist of. The tape runs on its own entity, it flows through
the whole CD smoothly. The R&B feel is there, from contemporary to Urban,
you can definitely hear the style flowing out them speakers. With a mixture of
original recorded tracks and some sampled, this is something you gotta pick up
to hear for yourself. The vibe it provides even on the freestyle tracks has a
different new school type of feel.

On the real, the tracks are blazing, David Lyn does his
thang and with the right direction from Big Chuck and Poe Boy, this young
artist definitely has a prosperous future ahead of him. My advice, pop in the
mixtape and let it flow.
