Artist: DJ Noodles

Mixtape: Once Upon A Time in Brooklyn (Jay-Z Edition)

With just weeks to go before Jay-Z‘s most highly awaited debut album since “Blueprint” hits the stores, American Gangster inspired by the new movie “American Gangster” lead DJ Noodles to take some of today’s beats and mix them with some of Jay-Z’s memorable verses. Along with the albums second single “Roc Boys” (produced by The Hitmen) which has the bloggers, radio, and the streets in a choke hold so I guess it only made sense to re-do Kanye West “I Wonder” from Graduation which sold 900,00 and out selling 50 Cent 2 weeks straight with a Jay-Z verse from “Diamonds Are Forever” remix. Don’t believe me then take one listen to “Big Brother”, “On that Diamonds remix I swore I spazed/then my big brother came through and kicked my ass”. My personal favorites are “I Won’t Go” over the Playza Circle street anthem “Duffle Bag Boy” and “Shooter” originally done by Lil Wayne and Robin Thicke. DJ Noodles released the calm before the storm and placed the perfect song to end this mixtape with “Soundtrack” which belongs to an Atlantic Records artist Deemi that will leave you repeating that track at least 3x. Key tracks to vibe to “Blue Magic”, “Hip Hop” and “Major”.
