Artist: Ace Hood

Mixtape: Ace Won’t
Fold

Mixed By: DJ Obscene

After a Love/Hate response from our readers and the streets
after my interview with Ace Hood for
our “Next In Line” section, Ace Hood is back with his response to
those critics on his latest mixtape “Ace Won’t Fold” hosted by DJ Khaled and DJ Obscene. On “I’m Me” Ace Hood gets right to the topic
on hand with so many whispers about why DJ Khaled chose him as his first artist
to represent We The Best Music and shows why he was chosen. He also shows his
range by re-doing Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop”
to Red Café’s “Paper
Touchin”. I really thought Ace stepped it up when he brought back Trick Daddy’s “Back In The
Days” and Tupac’s “Picture
Me Rollin”. Lead by his first single “Cash Flow” featuring Rick Ross and T-Pain, Ace makes sure to those no believers believe on his version
of Shawty Lo‘s “Dunn Dunn”.
My biggest disappointment with this mixtape was the lack of original music
because outside of “Cash Flow” & “Collection Plate”
they were none but it still leaves you with enough to keep you on the look out
for what he and Khaled will cook up on his debut album ‘Gutta’ coming later
this summer.
