Artists: The Game

Album: The Doctor’s Advocate

Label: Geffen/Interscope

Review by: Jay Carter

Hate him or love him, but after one listen to his new album ‘The
Doctor’s Advocate
‘ you will respect his music. On the production
side of things with no Dr.Dre beats, The Game
turned to the one’s closest to him for example “Let’s Ride”
produced by Scott Storcth, “One Night” produced
by Nottz, and “OL English” produced by Hi-Tech.
No stranger to controversy The Game will surely have people talking about this
song “Wont Get Far” featuring Kanye West (also
produced by Kanye West) where The Game spits “An all these new video bitches
wanna be Melissa Ford/ but they don’t know Melissa Ford drive a Honda
Accord/ she video vixen/ but behind close doors she do what ever it takes to
get to the Grammy Awards”. The Game shows some of his best work on songs
like “Doctor’s Advocate” featuring Busta Rhymes
produced by JR Rotem(who also produced Rick Ross
second single “Pushin It”), “Around The World”featuring
Jamie Foxx, and to close out the album my personal favorite
“Why You Wanna Hate The Game” featuring Nas and
produced by Just Blaze. So with an output such as this one,
it’s scary to think what if he still was working with 50 Cent
and Dr.Dre.
