Artist: Jim Jones
Album: Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (Product Of My Environment)
Label: Koch Records
Review by: Jay Carter
On Jim Jones’ latest album it seems that 3x was the
charm with it being his third solo album and his most successful so far in his
career. Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (Product Of My Environment) gave Jones his highest
debut on Billboards Hip Hop/R&B charts selling 107,000 independently in
its first week at a time where artist on major labels are not doing those numbers.
It also secured him with his biggest hit single ever with “We Fly
High” produced by Kukhan. Outside of back & fourth shots with
Jay-Z, Jim Jones makes a well rounded album for example tracks
such as “Reppin Time” produced by The Runners,
“Weather Man” featuring Stack Bundles
and Lil Wayne, and “Bright Lights”. Other
key songs on the album are my personal favorite “Emotionless”
featuring Julez Santana and “Push Me Away”.
