Artist: Lloyd Banks
Album: Hunger For More 2
Label: G-Unit Records/EMI
There was a time when everyone in the music industry would have said that G-Unit Records would be one of the top labels for years to come and it would seem like a fact more than fiction. Labels such as Death Row, No Limit, Bad Boy, Cash Money and Roc-A-Fella all had an incredible run but outside Cash Money right now who amongst the list above really exist? But if that’s true Lloyd Banks is gearing up to bring G-Uint back to it’s glory days and make it feel like 2003-2004 again! Releasing his third album powered by his party anthem “Beamer,Benz or Bentley” Ft. Julez Santana which went on to do over 1 million download on itunes. The “Boy Wonder” proved to everyone that he’s back. Releasing mixtape after mixtape since his second album “Hunger For More” was released and considered a flop Banks and his label G-Uint pretty much went downhill from their like a domino affect with only 50 Cent “Curtis” album putting up decent numbers which G-Unit Records was known for. But in the music industry staying consistent is key. So on “Hunger For More 2“, Banks does just that with songs such as the street anthem”Start It Up” Ft. Fabolous, Swizz Beatz, and Kanye West to “Any Girl” Ft. Lloyd on the chorus. Maintaining the perfect balance of street music and something for the ladies Banks new project shows that he can do both perfectly on “So Grateful” Ft. Ryan Leslie and “Home Sweet Home” Ft. Pusha-T and “P’s and Q’s” Ft. 50 Cent which brings back that good old G-Uint feel to it. Some features are just not good features though and “Celebrity” Ft. Akon highlights that and “I Don’t Deserve You” Ft. Jeremih highlights when it’s done right. Other records to check for are “Where I’m At” Ft. Eminem and “Sooner or Later” Ft. Raekwon.
