Artist: Murph (Hosted by Prime Legend)
Mixtape: In My Pocket
Review by: Jay Carter
With Mixtapes becoming the normal outlet for up and coming artist these day’s,
it’s even harder to stand out from the others but on Murph
latest mixtape, “In My Pocket” he did just that. His sound
can be described as “The Best Of Both Worlds” because of his Southern
mix with an East Coast flow clearly shows on “Pardon Me”(produced
by Alion), “Getcha Grandz Up”, “Look
Me In My Eyez”, or “Make Change” (featuring
Eddie Kane) where he invites you to a day in the life of his
reality. Throughout “In My Pocket” Murph consistently makes his
presents felt and shows exactly why he should be your favorite new artist by
the end of the CD or one listen to the heartfelt “Getz No Luv”
(produced by Alion). Other honorable mention tracks on the mixtape are “Continuesly”
(produced by Alion), “Throw Some D’s Freestyle”, “Live
How I Live” featuring Webbz (produced by Ron
Lawerence), and “Big Boy Toyz” Freestyle.
