I realize that O. Allen isn’t the typical artist South Florida artist we’ve come to see in recent years. But I also realize — and you probably do, too — that the more you put off something off, when you do finally pay attention to it, you realize you were actually missing out this entire time. Moral of the story: Don’t sleep on O. Allen. He’s puts on for Lauderdale and that can definitely be seen on his latest mixtape offering, “Remix 101” Volume III, hosted by DJ Affect. The mixtape, which serves as his first project since last year’s King Kong Swag, features some strong verses on some of todays hottest records from the likes of Kanye West, Waka Flocka, Tyga, Chris Brown and Drake, among others, while DJ Affect handles hosting duties. I’m guessing this one won’t leave my rotation for at least a week, if not longer, but we’ll see.
