Artist: Lil Wayne
Album: Tha Carter III
Label: Cash Money/Universal Motown

So the wait is over and finally Tha Carter III is here! No more set backs or features on other artist albums. After my first listen to the album I was some what disappointed until I took a ride in the car and popped the CD in. The Intro “3 Peat” produced by Cool & Dre starts things off right followed by one of my favorite tracks on the album “Mr.Carter” featuring Jay-Z. I was real surprised to see that “Comfortable” featuring Babyface and produced by Kanye West actually made the album after being leaked in 2007. What seems to be his next single “Got Money” featuring T-Pain (produced by Play-N-Skillz) is a cool song but I expected more from the verses Weezy put out but he quickly made up for it on the Swizz Beatz produced “Dr.Carter” where he shows that you can still use concepts and make a hot record. As Tha Carter III plays on I get loss on “Phone Home” a little bit and regroup on both “Tie My Hands” and “Shoot Me Down” which is a personal favorite of mine brought to you courtesy of Kanye West. Even though I still feel like Tha Carter II tops Tha Carter III records like “Misunderstood” and “Let The Beat Build” make this album very, very hard to ignore! Other highlights on the album  are “Mrs.Officer” featuring Bobby Valentino (produced by Wyclef Jean), “Nothin On Me” featuring Fabolous & Julez Santana and the street banger “A Milli”.
