Artist: Young Jeezy
Throwback Mixtape: Trap or Die
Hosted By: DJ Drama

Taking a look back at Young Jeezy first big release to the streets which is looked at now as a street classic started out as only a mixtape or street album before his first release on Def Jam. To be honest at this time I myself was not a big fan of Young Jeezy and never thought that he would become a Top 10 type artist in years to come. Some would like to think its his swagger that has made him what he has become but I would beg to differ, I mean Rocko who is a good friend of mine put out a whole album marketed towards  having “Swagger” and sold 24,000 in his first week as well as Shawty Lo. It’s been too much material as far as mixtapes and features put out by Jeezy for the critics not to hear his word play and ability to make good records and complete albums shown from the start of Trap Or Die’s “Intro” to “Get Ya Mind Right”. An of course every classic mixtape has to have a classic freestyle which is clear on “GA Freestlye” where Jeezy and Slick Pulla represent for their city! Some other bangers like “Get Em Jeezy” and “Air Forces” was definitely instant playback material.
