God Created Kings – Big Apple State Of Mind

God Created Kings is currently working on successfully promoting the release of their launch project entitled, GCK Vol. 1. which was just recently released on August 21st, 2013 via http://wwww.datpiff.com. In addition to the compilation, the team has established an order of operations for each artist to construct their own solo project set to release within six month intervals from one another. Artists World Be Free has an array of projects (The God Wears Prada, I Think I’m Malcolm X, Reggae-nomics, Backstage Pass, Industrial Revolution 1 & 2 and Long Live the King) which can all be found on DatPiff as well as artist Orlando Cash who just recently released “They Call Me Cash”.

Well I just dropped my first independent “$tay Tuned” on DatPiff and I am anticipating my next mix tape “Smoker’s Session the EP” hosted by Dj Dirty Dollarz and MPMG Mixtapes on June 25th. Gwalla: Music is My Passion

Where I grew up it was mainly a lot of underground parties where ppl would showcase their skills since mainly the area was more focused on Mainstream Music Only. House Parties and Local shows would usually be the only place to actually spread the word and let people know who you where. We used to go hard with home made mixtapes and spread copy after copy just to get a name but even then it was damn near impossible to get a following going. Things changed more when I started moving state to state with my music.

Dylan Lloyd: I Am Hip-Hop

Right now I’m working on numerous projects…such as my debut EP coming out this summer called “One By One”. All of the songs on this EP are co-written and produced by Soundtrakk so I’m extremely excited about this. On the NON Hip-Hop/R&B side of things, I have a successful side project with my friend Stephen Jerzak. We do collaborations together and our last two split EP’s have charted top 20 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart (“What Could Be Better” and “This Is Better”)…so now, we’re gearing up to make our first full length together with Taylor Swift’s producer/engineer in Nashville named Christopher Rowe.

It really never was a big Hip Hop scene where I’m from. Everybody was raised by Trick Daddy down here. Everybody love Trick! Then you got Trina, then Poe Boy seemed to open up doors for Miami. That boy Brisco been killin’ it for a minute, you got Billy Blue, Flo Rida, Iceberg be doing his thang, Brianna, and of course you got The Boss Rick Ross! Everybody else trying to get exposure, it’s tough down here a bunch of crabs in a bucket.No unity at all everybody for self shot out to DJ Khaled he bout unity! That boy PitBull a beast too!

I was born in Vallejo and raised in Fairfield CA. Fairfield is a different little city but its packed full of talented people. It’s very diverse in Fairfield as well being that most of the people are coming from the bay area also the air force base in the city. So I think it was the perfect mix for me growing up. The city wasn’t too big to get lost in.

Moving to H-Town in 1997, I was introduced to artists such as Killa Kyleon, OG Ron C, Freestyle Kings, Wrecking Yard, DJ Screw, Paul Wall, Chamillionare, Color Changing Clique, 50/50 Lil Twin, Agony Life, Mike Jones, 5th Ward Boyz, UGK, Geto Boys, Scarface, Slim Thugg, Boss Hogg Outlawz, ZRo, Trae Tha Truth, Big Pokey, Chalie Boy, ABN, Lil Flip, Odd Squad, Lil Keke and the list goes on!….We used to see and hear about all the swangers, the diamonds, the grills, and i remember telling myself “i want to get like that”. my biggest inspiration believe it or not was outside of houston, jada kiss, styles p, lil wayne and my life. its like the things they talk about is identical or close to the way i live.
