24hourhiphop.com sits down with former making of Da band member E.ness to discuss life after Da Band and to get the inside scoop on what’s been going on with him since the breakup. As a part of the Bad Boy group Da band he and his fellow members went on to sell 60,000 albums and were on their way to the top until the group was dismembered and each artist was sent on their way.

E.ness has since continued his journey and actually resigned with Bad Boy in 2006 as a solo artist and has been working on his solo debut album. E.ness has proven himself as one of today’s best battle rappers in the streets with several rap battle victories under his belt. With a mix tape collection from here to Japan and several new records out it’s not hard to see why E.ness is a Bad Boy in a league of his own.

24: Im joined right now by the one and only Lockness monsta, the captain himself E.ness. What’s poppin Ness how you doing now a days?

E.ness: Everything been good man just working hard on the album, trying to get these singles out and keep pushing forward.

24: So what’s going on with the Bad Boy situation you still signed to them?

E.ness: Yeah im definitely still signed to them I’ve been working on my album. We don’t got an official release date but im holding it down, there is alot of exciting business at hand. There are not that many collaborations on the album either im trying have an impact in the game without the help of any A list rappers and let the world know I’m a force to be reckoned with.

24: Of course everyone knows you were apart of the multi platinum group “Da Band”, have you kept in touch with any of the other members?

E.ness: Yeah I talk to all the members except Chopper, we all got a close relationship. We all came in the game together they like my blood brothers.

24:

I heard you recently competed in the World Series of Hip-Hop up in Harlem, how did that go for you?

E.ness: That was an exciting experience you know there were a lot of artists up there. It was kind of like a Philly against New York vibe going on. The media took it in one way but I took it another, it’s just that Philly and New York gotta lot of certified spitters. We just wanted to get the best out of both cities, you know? So I know I won my battle with Mysonne, I don’t know about the other battles but shouts out to everyone that took place in that battle. Over all it was a good experience for people to see me in another light and see I can really get it in and not just be  a recording artist that put songs together.

24: I got a chance to hear your brand new coast to coast mixtape you just recently hosted, that’s a real hot tape. How are the streets feeling that from what you’ve heard?

E.ness: The streets are definitely giving me a positive feedback ive been dropping mix tape after mix tape keeping solid relationships with the djs and working hard.

24:
Tell me a little bit about the new singles I heard, you recently released “Sling shot Ness” and “Barackness Monsta”.

E.ness: Well the singles both got energy I tried taken it back to the old style I had before the band to that element and that’s what came out you know a breath of fresh air  a different attitude which means new money you know.

24: I hear you got a new reality show coming out called Swap Vision, what’s up with that?

E.ness: Shouts out to Vinalation X my man Knob the show got picked up by a few cable access televisions, its going to be in 44 million homes in the next 3 weeks next month the latest. Swamp Vision Tv is simply a reality show about me behind the scenes working on the album my trials and tribulations trying get the label to get behind me and support the budget and put out the money that it takes to be over the top back where I belong.

24: What inspires you E.ness?

E.ness: The music alone inspires me, you know. Different places I been to, my trials and tribulations to music from everywhere like the East Coast, Midwest and Down South

24: If you had to say 2 words that describe you’re hometown of Philly what would you say?

E.ness: Tough Love

24: Before we check out tell the fans were they can go and check out more of E.Ness
