24: Days of our lives. Whats goes on in the every day life of Juelz Santana?

Juelz: Right now just working getting everything together, putting my plan together. Being a family man. I’m in the studio the whole time, if I’m not on the road doing shows I’m in the studio. I do a lot of ripping and running besides that.

24: You been working on your third studio album “Born To Lose Built to Win”, which is much anticipated. What can we expect to hear?

Juelz: A lot of classic material. I definitely reached out and worked with a couple producers whose work I had a liking for. My man Dj Toomp, Polow Da Don, my man Bink, he worked on the first ‘Blueprint’ album which is a classic album. As far as features I don’t got too many outside of my camp. I actually do let me not say that, I got The Dream and a song with Trey Songz scheduled to make the album. But more if anything R&B features not too many Hip Hop features. I got Wayne on the album, Jadakiss, a song with Wu-Tang. Let me tell you bout this one song I got. Its called ‘Want that Old Thing Back’,  its got me Jadakiss, Redman, Method Man, and Busta Rhymes. Its crazy! The whole album is crazy! It’s a well put together album. The record I did with Polow I’m bout to leak that this week. I got a surprise feature on that spread the word. It’s a Reunion.

24: The album ‘Born To Lose Built To Win’ is a strong but personal title. Was this title picked in relation to your life ?

Juelz: Hell yea! I feel like it’s in relation to everybody life. Thats what we are when you’re born. It’s just of the fortunate people that happen to be born in to being rich and besides that richness can’t buy happiness. You gotta make your life they way you want it. You gotta be that winner you want to be.

24: The internet has been in Dipset’s business like crazy.. Do you think the media is making it bigger then it is?

Juelz: Media makes everything bigger then it is. Thats what media is for. They cover up the things they need to to cover up, make people believe the certain things they can make em believe. To every truth there’s a lie to every lie there’s a truth. Thats how I look at it. I think the media really runs with that. That’s just like music. You don’t see how rappers blow shit out of proportion? If a rapper really shot somebody in they life they gon say they killed 20 people cause a rapper aint shot nor killed 5, ten people imagine a nigga who shot somebody. Everything is blown out of proportion its just entertainment. I feel like media is apart of entertainment. 


24: I feel you..

Juelz: I mean its gon happen, a lot of people are phony and fake you always gon have people getting exposed. But the internet makes the situation even crazier. Before it had to be somebody seen it. Now aint nobody got no freedom. Now with the internet if you got some skeletons shit gon come out now, aint no hiding nothing. A nigga get on the internet tell he beefing with somebody that nobody in the world even know. Nigga be like yo Junebug I got beef with you. Niggaz be on in the internet like who the fuck is Junebug and who the fuck is you? none of yall niggaz is famous (laughs). I love the internet its a free way to promote as far as artist to get your swag on, I love everything bout it, I love the bloggers. I love everything about it, I use the hate as my motivation.

24: There were these rumors Cam sold you to Def Jam. You did a blog clarifying what really happened. What was your reaction to this when it got to you?

Juelz: My reaction was what it was at the moment. Make a long story short I’m so way passed that I can move forward now. I dont need to comment on that. I wish homes the best. Its still Dipset for life. Ya dig? Im just moving doing what I gotta do with out being a fool. When it comes to loyalty, just look at my history, everybody know how loyal I am. I aint really gotta explain that any more. If it could’ve been it would’ve been. I never wanted to do this with out him. It was like I was a cat pushed in the corner when it just came down to that situation besides that its in God’s hands.

24: All Juelz Santana fans will kill me if I dont ask this. Is there a concrete release date for the album??

Juelz: We got a tentative release date at the end of September. So ya’ll just look out for that just pay attention I’ma be all in ya face. It aint gon be no gaps or nothing.

24: You got the 50/50/50 deal with Def Jam. How does that freedom feel compared to before?

Juelz: Yeah! 50/50/50 I’m a boss man. I don’t even like to call it a boss. I’m a overseer I got a team full of bosses. All my niggaz is bosses. Thats the new shit everybody they own boss. I’m just a overseer i just might make that last decision by the end of the day.  Its a beautiful thing you know its a harder position but at end of they day its a beautiful thing. I got to learn so much fast just get pass it and you know teach people the things that I’ve learn help make other people rise better, at the same time keep doing what I’m doing.

24: You and Lil Wayne got this ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’ project that is been anticipated for almost 3 years now. Is there a new update on that?

Juelz: We did all the music for ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’ record. Its just a whole bunch of politics involved wit that. A lot of records been getting leaked these past months. These are old records these records you been hearing, we recorded them when we first started promoting ‘I Cant Feel My Face.’ We probably gon release it. I got 25 more records done with the boy if the situation presents itself we gon release it.

24: Can we get another firm definition on ‘Born to Lose Built’ to win?

Juelz: Like I said we put on this earth, you just born to lose, everything is against you. You gotta switch into being a winner. It’s in a nut shell. When you born you’re just a loser. You gotta build yourself in this world to be a winner. I really feel if you look at the title its self explanatory ‘Born To Lose Built To Win.’

24: Whats motivates you to win?

Juelz: Its just my drive. I cant lose. Thats my drive to build myself to be a winner and my will power to overcome. Greatness comes from not what you have done but what you have overcome. Never look down on a person unless you trying to lift them up. Thats my new shit. Fly up or get flown over I’m in the sky.

24: What should we expect in the future ?

Juelz: A! A! A! Im here I ain’t going no where. Its on I’m bout to do what everybody want me to do. Take over!
