Introduce yourself. Who are you? Where are you from? What is your background / nationality? *

I’m Anthony Dupoux aka Rarri Ant from North Miami, Florida. Im Haitian & Nicaraguan. My father and his side of the family is Haitian & my mom & her side are Nicaraguan.

How did you get your name?

I needed a name for Instagram & I liked Ferrari’s at the time so I changed the end of rrari to Rarri and took the first 3 letters of my name & came up with RarriAnt.

What motivated you to get into the music business?

In high school (North Miami Senior High) I sold candy & snacks and that’s where my entrepreneurship began. I met a friend in school who was a dj & would go with him to dj the local teen clubs & parties. It caught my attention to do parties & that’s what I did right after graduation. I then began helping others with their events & began working with “KD” part of Trina’s management team & developed a relationship with Trina & her team in general. This eventually led to my work with Rap Snacks around the time she got her endorsement deal.

What makes you unique / stand out compared to other people?

What makes me unique is how strategic I can be when it comes to achieving visions of the bigger pictures that I see when it comes to certain opportunities & the execution that comes with it. My opportunities, affiliations & resume back that up.

Let our readers know some of the names of people you have worked with. Provide references and write what you liked about working with them

Trina; It was a surreal & amazing experience to see the behind the scenes work of an established artist from Miami such as herself. Definitely was an honor & a privilege to be of help. Special thanks to Behind The Scene Kings & Karen Douglas for this opportunity.

Rap Snacks; Working with a brand like this is a dream come true. Ever since before I actually worked with the brand I was a huge fan of the movement ! I think it’s such a coincidence that I went from selling snacks in high school to working with a snack brand that is directly attached to hip hop !

Wifey Rose; Is a sparkling rose founded by the CEO of Rap Snacks. Being part of the process of building this product & brand is amazing. Seeing what goes on behind the marketing & branding of a sparkling rose of this caliber has it’s differences and similarities to marketing potato chips .

What are somethings you would like to achieve and why?

Some things that I will achieve will be having my agency Rarri & Co be one of the best branding & event agencies of this time. I also will startup programs to help struggling entrepreneurs kick off things they want to do. Outside of these things I also want to make positive impacts in my community as well as doing what I can for both people & animals In need.

What are some past achievement worth mentioning?

Being able to bring out crowds to my parties if 700 + ppl , being able to work with Trina’s team , becoming part of the Rap Snacks family , being part of the building process of Wifey sparkling rose , helping 99 Jamz radio host Supa Cindy’s team out with a few events , being able to aid with some Slip N Slide Records projects. I am so grateful for these experiences.

On a personal level, how would you describe yourself in detail?

Very ambitious, caring, self motivated, driven, strategic & forever a sponge soaking up knowledge & experiences to make me the best I can be in this lifetime.

How long have you been professionally working in the industry?

9 years. 2011 – present.

Whats in the pipeline? What are you currently working on?

What I’m currently working on is building the Rap Snacks Media side of the brand. The company is already an established product on the market & in such high demand but being that it’s the official snack of hip hop we can definitely be involved in the media side of things when it comes to the culture and connect with artists & influencers 1 on 1 regardless if they are endorsing products or not.

In this industry, what is something you learned the hard way?

Something I learned the hard way is separating business from friendships or getting to friendly when there’s business involved. You don’t always have to get buddy buddy with people you are working with because that can tarnish the business. Sometimes it works out & other times it just doesn’t.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself in the music industry and why?

I can see myself managing & being behind huge talent. I can also see lots of brands & other entities coming to me for services & guidance.

Who were some music influencers you listened to while growing up? What do you remember when you think about them?

At the top of my head who comes to mind is Uncle Luke, Trick Daddy, Fabolous, Plies, Jeezy, Rick Ross, Drake. What I remember is pure talent & success honestly. Also seeing through them that there is a way out for our ppl it’s just up to us to figure it out.

To close out for your current and future fans, what are some last words and shout outs you want to give?

I want to thank everyone who has ever been to an event of mine, anyone who’s ever reposted something for me, everyone who believed it continues to believe in me & where I’m headed, I would like to thank the entire Omar & Behind The Scenes Kings team as well as Karen KD Douglas, Jeffrey B Cam, Vana305, Trina, James Lindsay, 24HourHipHop & I can keep going but thank you so much to everyone who’s ever showed me some kind of love or support !
