24: With the new mixtape KILLUMINATIE 2K10 coming out what should we as fans be expecting?

What to expect is of course the OUTLAWZ at their best, all three of us are at the top of our game whether it’s conceptually, hook wise, our verses all of that and that’s one of the things we wanted to display also you can expect top notch production we have some of the dopest young producers that sent in their tracks for the project you can expect a cohesive body of work just not a mix tape with us free styling over other peoples beats you know that’s not really what we do. We’re giving you original songs it’s a free download so everyone should most defiantly go get and listen to some free hot shit.

24: How is this mixtape KILLUMINATI 2K10 different from your previous mix tapes?

First difference is that it has Hussein Fatal on it and the second difference is the energy and new passion you can expect to hear all that, we have a couple of surprises on their that I can’t really say right now I just want yall to go check it out!

24: what would you say is your favorite song on the mix tape and why?

It would be like picking a favorite child because I have so many favorites but I would have to go with Kush Dreams ft Freeway its hot we all did our thing on it, freeway came in at the end and just killed it I can’t wait for people to hear it. Another one is From The Bottom To The Top it’s the first song on the mix tape it’s a lot of energy real lyrical it’s the first video were going to release on World Star Hip-hop with Jordan Towers Films and I think it’s going to set the tone, once they hear this song people are going to be like oh okay they not playing at all. But really the whole mix tape is hot every day I have a new favorite song.

24: With all the recent talk of Kanye West and Jay Z being associated with the illuminati what are your views on that being that.

To be perfectly honest were not really against the illuminati because we don’t believe that it exist, we think it’s on some hocus pocus boogie man type of thing, we don’t want people to get caught up in that , as far as Jay Z or Kanye being in it or not I think it’s a bunch of bullshit because I don’t think it exist, it’s all media supposedly its based around a secret society  and people conspiring to rule the world, but we all know that’s been going on since the beginning of time but now that everyone is talking about it why do it have to be associated with black successful people? To me that strategically done why when we speak about illuminati we talk about Jay Z and Kanye West as a rapper? Why not talk about the former presidents and the people in congress, how can we talk about something that’s supposedly ran by white men in a secret society trying to control the world but we keep talking about Jay Z and Kanye West their the first names that come up that’s like saying in order to be black and successful you have to sell your soul to the devil and the white man. That’s where the whole Killuminati came from that’s why Pac put the K in front of it to kill it, don’t let it occupy your life. The real meaning of Killuminati and what Pac was trying to push is that don’t fear something that you can’t see, how are you going to fear something you can’t see? If the illuminati do exist and their so cowardly that it has to be a secret and they have to hide behind closed doors why are you worried about it? Continue living your life until you have concrete evidence that it exist.

24: Being that you guys are veterans in the game what you say is missing from hip-hop today?

I think what’s really missing is concrete substance and some real soldiers with a real message and that’s what we are here to provide.

24: You also have an up and coming album title Perfect Timing what was the inspiration behind the album?

One of the main inspirations was to continue to put out that Outlaw stamp and making sure were forever apart of hip-hop history and up there with some of the greatest groups to do it and I want people to know that when it comes to this rap game we take it very seriously this is our life, we love the music, the culture and being that our feelings are that strong we have to be up there with the greats. Every day while in the studio that’s what was on my mind the history and the legacy. Another inspiration is that it really is perfect timing for dudes like us to come back in the game, we always run into people that say that were legends and that’s based upon what we did with Pac, when people open the history books and read about Pac their going to see that the Outlawz are still here and finishing strong and were proving all the haters wrong that said we couldn’t and wasn’t going to do it.

24: Are there any features we should look out for on the album?

We have Krazy Bone, Young Lloyd, Bun B, Scare Face, Tech 9, a rapper out of Canada name Belly, there’s most defiantly a couple of surprises to look for on the album.

24: Tell me more about your OUTLAW EYE WEAR

The eye wear line won’t be out until around the end of this year, it going to be the hottest male shade line in the streets and it would be available online.

24: Would you call this a come back?

Most defiantly not, anyone that follows us knows that we never went anywhere.  Were some of the top dudes in the independent game, we tour every year I would say that we eating more than a lot of people that’s on major labels.  If you go into a record store you would see all of our work we have put out like 12 albums in seven years. We murder the game people think just because were not always on T.V that you’re not doing your thing but that’s all about to change every time you turn the T.V  or computer on your going to see the Outlawz.

24: Any advice you would give to any up and coming artist?

To first invest in yourself, you have to get out and bust your ass put yourself out, create your own buzz, the days of labes just looking to sign acts now are over, labels are getting shut down and everything it a different game.  Become king in your city first , and the last but very important thing is don’t be a follower do your own thing, personality is coming back to the music game, if you’re a follower you’re going to get killed by the wayside.
