TJ Chapman. This name doesn’t just ring bells in the southern music
scene, it breaks them in half. With over 20 years in the business TJ
has been instrumental in building some of the game’s biggest careers.
Rick Ross, Plies, B.O.B., Youngbloodz, No Limit, the list is almost
endless. Getting his start as a DJ and then becoming an A&R for So
So Def, TJ eventually made his biggest mark in the game when he founded
TJ’S DJ’S Record Pool an outlet for DJ’s and artists alike to trade new
music. TJ also spreads his knowledge by being the foremost speaker on
all kinds of panels but mainly urban music panels. Recently TJ sat down
with 24HourHipHop.com and gave us some insight into what is going on
with the game today and how artists can still win. Listen up and take
notes kids, he’s dropping serious knowledge.
