Since dropping his Street classic debut album Thug Motivation:101,
Young Jeezy has separated himself from your average artists or should I say
Trap star turned artist by starting his own Clothing Line “8732”, Headline
his own tour “Street Dreams”, put out a successful sophomore album
“The Inspiration:102 as well as a slept on USDA group album “Cold
Summer”. But its recent guest appearances starting with DJ Khaled’s
“I’m So Hood Remix” to “Shawty Lo’s “Dey Know”, Lupe
Fiasco “Superstar Remix”, BloodRaw “Louie Bag”, The Dream
“I Luv Your Girl” and of course Usher new smash single “Make
Love In The Club” that has everyone looking forward to his third solo
album. I recently got the man of the hour on the phone to do a one on one
interview with your boy.

24: I feel like musically you’re in a
great space and everything is working right for you on all cylinders?

Young Jeezy: I figured a couple of things out that I ain’t
see before and with my music I’m taking advantage of it. Not to mention from a
business stand point also with the 8732 line taking off. I’m turning myself
from into a “Brand” plan and simple.

24: For all the critics
that stated in the past that you were not going to last you seem to be making
them look real bad with these verses I’m hearing from you?

Young Jeezy: I’m not in these studios all hours of the night
for no reason, I came from the bottom so for me to do this shit and do it well.
It’s not that hard when you think about it because the streets is way harder. I
been proving mother fuckers wrong my whole life bra.

24: Do you feel like
the USDA group on should have done better with the sales and was over looked?

Young Jeezy: We knew we wanted to put out a certain type of
music and send a certain message for what we stood for and that it wouldn’t be
excepted every where and by everyone. We put out “White Girl” and “Corporate
Thuggin” and I’m comfortable with that till this day homie.

24: A lot of artist
come into to the game start a label but then the artist on the label solo
artist or group album never comes out but your actually making sure that’s not
the case over at CTE?

Young Jeezy: These my niggas not my artist at the same time.
It’s much more then rap and these niggas been doing they thing as a solo artist
BloodRaw had other offers on the table. So I’m definitely making sure I set up
my niggas right so they got the best chance to win. BloodRaw album coming soon
“Louie Bag” bangin in the streets the EPK crazy we here! Slick,
Myself, Roccett, Boo, 211 in the studio now.

24: When you decide
to leave the Mic alone what do you want the fans to say about you?

Young Jeezy: That I took care of my niggas put out good
music and should a bunch of street dudes that they can do something to other
then street shit. They got options even when then think they don’t cause I’m living
proof of that homie. I ain’t out here trying to be the greatest or the best
ever, that ain’t me (pause) it just ain’t me. I guess its like what Ye said “Everything
I’m not, make me everything I am”.

24: I’m not really
into the gossip but what I really want to know about you and Keyshia Cole is
will you two be working on your new album together again? I think
“Dreamin” really was a big record for you and complemented “Go
Getta”?

Young Jeezy; She’s a hell of a real person that’s been through
shit and it shows in her music. I ain’t get her back in the studio yet but I’m
sure we will have to do another one real soon. I need it and the people need it.

24: Did you think you
would be in the music industry having the career your having?

Young Jeezy: Man, I never knew I wouldn’t be dead right now!
Sometimes I’m humbled by all this shit but it comes with that more money more
problems shit too that the average nigga don’t see. Hell no I ain’t see all
this shit coming but I knew the streets was fucking with me and I knew the game
needed more real niggas but I ain’t see this coming.

24: What do you feel
BloodRaw album will bring to the game?

Young Jeezy: Man, BloodRaw his own beast. I got a lot of
shit to talk about a lot he been through as a man and he making good music
period. That nigga ain’t no sidekick to Young Jeezy or Slick Pulla and the same
goes for any nigga signed to CTE. I cant speak for other camps but I can speak
for mine all day!

24: Should the
streets expect a big mixtape before the next album?

Young Jeezy: I come up from that mixtape shit, so no matter
what I’m doing that’s gonna come. But for me its about making my shit sound a
certain way and keeping my integrity at the same time. I’ll never do some shit that
ain’t me that’s not Jeezy.

24: I know we press
for time so any last words for the readers?

Young Jeezy: BloodRaw Coming, CTE coming, 8732 In Stores
