Auto Tune Singers Strike Back Against Jay-Z?

Jay-Z’s new song “Death Of Autotune” has got a lot of heads talking. Most people praise Jay for standing up for hip hop and saying enough is enough. However a few people, mainly those whose only talent is singing through this machine, obviously have taken offense. Jay has went on to say the song wasn’t directed at anyone in particular but just feels that the whole trend of auto tune itself had run it’s course.

However it is coming out now that several auto tuners are not going to let by gones be by gones on this one and are planning to mount up on Jay. It’s a theory that Jay was specifically going at Ron Browz on the track, as he is the one that produced the track that Nas used to diss Jay so many years ago, that of course being “Ether”. While we haven’t heard anything from Browz yet, DJ Webstar has come out and called Jay an “Old ass hater”.  Word is several auto tuners are going to all come together for a diss track against Jay where they let it be known that Auto tune is alive and well.

This is a bad idea. If anything these guys should be taking this time to think about how their going to reinvent themselves and save their careers. When Jay says something is dead, it’s dead. Honestly I think the public has been feeling this for a minute we just need someone like Jay to put that stamp on it.

Freeway Already Unhappy With Cash Money?

Money problems with Cash Money Records? Who would of thought? The news of Freeway going to Cash Money Records was big news last week and it mainly looked like a big step forward for the bearded guy. However as with ALL Cash Money artists it looks like Free is already not happy with how his business is being handled.

Word is Free has yet to receive any kind of funds from Baby and Slim. Not an advance, not a bonus, not a loan, nothing. I am hearing after Free got this rough treatment he took his paperwork to a Miami attorney where he found out he was basically the latest slave to join the Cash Money plantation. Free supposedly is trying to figure out what to do to get out of this situation but it doesn’t seem to be many options for him at this moment.

Duh! What do you expect when you join a label who has lost all of it’s artists and producers over non payment issues? Do your research homie. Freeway is insanely talented though so I really hope he can get over this hurdle and bring some more of that quality street music the people need.
