B.O.B. Goes Country?
ATL new comer B.O.B. started off strong in this game. Getting heavy co-signs in the south and being compared to none other than the great Andre 3000 off his first mixtape, it looked like the kid was going to go far. However other than his signing with Grand Hustle last year we haven’t heard a whole lot about the kid, besides the invention of his new alter ego Bobby Ray.
Well I have some info from a VERY close source to B.O.B. that this new alter ego is more than just another name but it is giving into a whole new artist. I am hearing that Bobby Ray is going to take over completely and there is more…Bobby Ray isn’t with all that hip hop jive and it is being said he is now going to do straight country records! I’m hearing Bobby’s manager is not too pleased with this and has tried to talk him out of it but so far it looks like Bobby is in control.
I gotta say I’m not too pleased if this is true. I’ve been a B.O.B. fan for a minute now and always loved his honest and funky style. However judging by his latest mixtape, B.O.B. vs. Bobby Ray, this doesn’t seem too out there to me. Half of the songs on that were WACK! Weird little rock and roll / rap hybrids. We’ll just have to wait and see on this one…
Asher Roth And Eminem?
This one is still a little cloudy so I’ll just run by what I have so far for you real quick. Asher and Em. People have been waiting for this collab ever since the comparisons to Em began for young Asher. However it never happened…
Until now! Maybe… A tipster hit me up and said that at a recent Asher show in Colorado Asher told the crowd he was heading to the D soon to work with quote “The other crazy white boy”. This of course got huge cheers from the crowd and everyone assumed he was talking about none other than Mr. Mathers.
Hopefully this can be what it seems cause boy does that Asher’s career need a kick right now. Drake did a number on all them freshmen boys if you ask me…”Killin all these rappers off as if I had a hit list…”
Snoop The Hater?
Say it ain’t so! Big Snoop Dogg getting his hate on? Apparently! Check out the interview below where Snoop admits he was a bit of a hater when it came to several up and coming artists. But don’t get too mad…he also says that he has commended his hater ways…Peep it below:
