The world went nuts yesterday with the Bow Wow’s announcement that he was now on Cash Money Records. Wizzle Fizzle broke the news via Twitter and said that him and the company have always been close and upon a meeting with Baby it was a done deal.

“We had two sit-downs,” Bow Wow said of meeting with Cash Money. “Upon the first sit-down, I called [co-CEO Birdman] and told him what I wanted to do. So it was a no-brainer. He was like, ‘Bow, you always been family. Next to Wayne, I look at you like my son. If you not with JD, you with us.’ From there, it was a done deal. So I wanna thank [him], Slim and Wayne.”

However I am getting some word that we all may have jumped the gun here and celebrated a little too early. The word I am getting is that no paperwork has been signed and this is still not an official deal. I’m told Bow is all for it however there have been some hang-ups with his old label and the deal has not gone through. Perhaps maybe Bow Wow is using this as an angle to put pressure on his old label to make the deal happen? Either way though I know if this does happen Cash Money is going to have to come off some serious dough to get a hold of Bow Wow…

Ciara Calls It Quits?

Who else saw this one coming? After stooping to incredible lows including trading her album’s for chicken burgers at KFC, it is coming out that Ciara has officially given up. Cici has been EXTREMELY low key lately however I am hearing that is not by choice. Her label just doesn’t believe in her anymore and just this week it was announced that the former platinum selling artist would be replaced on the upcoming Britney Spears Circus tour. By Jordin Sparks!

Yes it is true. Ciara was replaced by the American Idol girl. After this last blow it is being said that Ciara is tired of it all and just would rather live a normal life and fade out. The music biz is tough ya’ll, what else can be said. I still think she should pump out a few more albums though. Maybe she can upgrade to trading them for full meals instead of just burgers. Maybe work out a percentage deal or something…? Just a thought.
