The Ca$h Money people are seemingly leaking out bits of information
to tear down Gillie Da Kid, bit by bit. In particular, they want
to dispel the notion that he wrote for Weezy. I heard that behind his back, CMM
referred to Gillie as a "studio slave," because he would do a lot of
writing for certain artists, but was never paid the large fees he claimed. In
fact, people inside of CMM say that he didn’t write that much, a hook here, a
verse there. I can’t call it, but I will say that Wayne has managed to hold his
spot even though Gillie ain’t there.
