DJ Khaled Fired?

DJ Khaled has been in the rumor mill more than often lately. Earlier this week there were reports of him being involved in a car chase with the LAPD that resulted in him killing himself. Well that turned out to not be true but a new rumor is coming out that could be almost as damaging.

Khaled was recently appointed to the position of Def Jam South president. However several people are coming out and saying that he is about to lose that position. People in the know say Khaled isn’t seen as fit by the top brass over there. First off they think he is too involved in his own projects and radio show. Also his first artist, Ace Hood, sold NO albums. In a business where it’s all about dollars they feel Khaled has run his course and it’s about that time to give him the long good-bye.

I must say I personally hope this isn’t true as Khaled has been grinding and putting on for his city for years. Either way though I know he’ll be alright. I mean you can’t hold down the “BEST!” Right?

Artists Against Chris Brown?

Chris Brown is fucked. There’s no other way to put it. Losing ad’s, getting your songs pulled from radio, the backlash and judgments of the public, he’s getting it all. Now though it looks like several top artists in the game are coming together to put it to the little man as well. Word is Kanye, Jay, and  a few others are going to come out and publicly speak out against Chris and do their best to block his future in this game. Peep the quote from Kanye below:

“She has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time and, in that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do any and everything to help her in any situation. It’s just so devastating. I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.”

When it comes to Jay though insiders say he is looking to handle his gripes in a whole other way. Jay and Rihanna have a close relationship as he was the one who signed her to Def Jam and served as a sort of mentor for the young starlet. People close say Jay is gonna take it to concrete with Brown and have some goonies get at him.

I must say this one is far fetched, but hey who knows what goes in peoples heads right. I know Jay’s paper is long enough to get anyone touched so if I were Chris I would be lookin over my shoulder just in case. I know in any case Chris and Rihanna both need our prayers so please keep them in mind.

Gag Order On Rick Ross?

For all those who think the Rick Ross/50 Cent battle has been a complete slaughter of the BOSS!’s career some new info is coming out that might explain why. Yesterday Ross put out a cartoon video similar to 50 Cent’s “Officer Ricky” cartoons that were the first strikes in his attack on Ross. The video shows 50 and The Unit in a shower engaged in some straight Roman type fagotry. However two hours after the video premiered it was yanked down from every site in the world and disappeared without a trace.

So what happened? Industry insiders say Def Jam has put a gag order on Ross and is not allowing him to engage in the beef due to the fear that he has already lost and is just giving 50 more reason to shit on him. If Ross does it anyway and puts out any kind of response Def Jam immediately has their web pirates scour the net and make it vanish without a trace. This is what happened to the “Gay Unit” video and this is why we have only gotten weak one liners in all of his song responses, instead of dedicating a track solely to going in on 50, which is what is supposed to happen in a battle. People say Ross is fighting this tooth and nail and will continue to release videos and half assed diss songs despite the fact that they will be taken down.

I must say this is some bullshit. How you gonna not let your artist defend himself in a battle? If anything they should of stopped “Mafia Music” from dropping, the track which contained the original half assed one line diss to 50. Then this whole mess wouldn’t of got started in the first place.
