The bidding war for Drake has been serious. Despite him being affiliated with Young Money for some time now he never actually signed to Wayne’s label. However now it is being said that he has officially chosen a home to release his highly anticipated debut, Thank Me Later.

Atlantic Records will supposedly be Drake’s decision and we should be hearing the official announcement by the end of the week. I am hearing the deciding factor for Drake was not only the money but the fact that Atlantic will put his album out within a year and he will be a top priority in the building. Atlantic has been looking for their next big star since T.I. went away, so this really all does make sense.

Where ever this kid goes, he’s gonna do well. I just cant understand how Wayne would let Drake build such a buzz with him being right under his wing and not DEMAND that he sign at least some kind of deal with him? Do you think it’s shady for Drake to not break any kind of bread with Weezy?

Jay-Z And Eminem Tour?

Speaking of Shady business, Mr. Balls in my face, A.K.A. Eminem made a surprise visit to a Los Angeles Jay-Z show in which the two performed their song “Renegade” off the classic first Blueprint album. Of course the crowd went nuts and it even looked like Em was wearing the same outfit from the MTV Movie Awards. Maybe he was just preserving the smell of the ass and chode…

Anyway though I am hearing that this ‘surprise’ visit was actually a bit of a preview of more things to come. Jay is very close to wrapping up the Blueprint 3 and it is being said that when that happens Jay and Em will embark on a super tour together. Duo headlining acts usually do big numbers on tour and in this economy concerts are hurting as bad as record sales. It looks like Em and Jay may be coming to save the day.

I pray this is true and can happen. I have seen both Jay and Em in concert separately so I know together it would be monstrous. Let’s just hope Bruno doesn’t show up to any shows for some surprise landings…

Cassidy Confirms He Took Kanye’s Chick!

This is just stupid. Why start a beef with one of the most powerful and influential people in the music business over some ass? Well that is exactly what it appears Cassidy, yeah remember him, is doing with this business over him and Kanye West’s chick Amber Rose.

The rumors came out last month about Amber and Cass supposedly having some kind of fling together in Philly while Ye’ was in Hawaii working on music. Amber denied it, Cass never said anything, and it just kind of died down naturally…until now.

Cassidy has just released a mixtape track (of course, what else does this guy make?) in which he basically admits bagging Amber without naming Kanye, but anyone with a brain could figure out who he’s talking to.

Hmm. So what now? I am hearing Kanye has been done with Amber for weeks now and is not really going to respond to Cassidy through record. However Cassidy’s career is already in the gutter (he’s even taken to signing to a NBA player’s label, with no distribution) and I am hearing Ye’, if ever necessary will call on some friends of his to keep it that way, which is basically every mogul in the hip hop game.
