Irv Gotti To Blackball Lloyd?
Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc Records has been done for awhile now. Really since 50 Cent in 2003, they have not recovered at all. Ashanti left, Ja got buried, and now it has come out that the label’s last glimmer of success, Lloyd wants out as well. Lloyd issued this statement earlier today:
“I’m ready for a change,” Lloyd said. “There’s no bad blood. I just feel I need to take more control over my career and get a fresh start. Hopefully Irv can understand my position.”
Well obviously this is not good news for Irv and now it is being said that he has already started a campaign to blackball Lloyd and also will refuse to let him out of his contract. Lloyd still owes Murder Inc. three more records and Irv is making it clear he plans on getting those three records as well as blocking Lloyd from making certain moves to build his buzz and secure a proper release.
Irv just needs to let this shit go and realize he’s done. Lloyd has a bright future and I think any kind of back door shenanigans and poli-tricks really has no place in this business. Stick to embarrassing your family on TV fat man.
Lil Wayne Questioning Drake’s Loyalty?
This is one I could of seen coming from a mile away. By now Drake has made it very clear to everyone that he is not a member of Young Money Records. When asked about his label status Drake had this to say.
“I’m not signed to Young Money but definitely Young Money is a family to me. I’m definitely YM affiliated, you know? I have the utmost love for everybody over there, the utmost respect.”
Well now that 2 million dollar offers are on the table it is coming out from the Young Money camp that Lil Wayne is starting to feel a little salty with Drake and is starting to feel like he is owed something for the man’s success. After all it was Wayne that took Drake on tour and introduced him to the masses as well as being credited with helping the Canadian step his rhyme game up, to which Drake has admitted to several times before.
My sources tell me Wayne has stepped to Drake and let him know he feels however Drake is intent on finding the best situation for him, and isn’t concerned about hurting feelings.
Do you think Drake is wrong for this? Personally I know the Cash Money machine is fucked up when it comes to the paper and also no other artist on Young Money is getting the right push they need to blow…Sounds like a smart move to me.
