Janet And Beyonce At War?

The new school is supposed to respect the old school. That’s how it always has been and how it always should be. However recently a new school diva said some disparaging and hurtful comments toward a certain R&B legend’s family and now it looks like the two may be quietly going at it behind the scenes. In a recent interview, pop queen Beyonce was explaining her family background and her reasons for doing music. Doesn’t sound so bad right?

Well in the process she out of nowhere decided to throw the Jackson family under the bus, indicating that the band was a scapegoat for selfish parents.

“I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jacksons. But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”

Ooooh! You gonna let her talk about you like that?

Apparently not, as people have been buzzing that Janet has been on the warpath since hearing about the comments. Janet has major pull in this game and it is being said she has been getting people to try to turn against B and now work with her. How well this will go over I don’t know, as Beyonce is a major cash cow.

People close to her say what hurts the most is that she has always been supportive of B’s career and she can’t understand where these comments came from. Word is her attempts to get in touch with Ms. Sasha Fierce have went ignored and this is adding to her frustration.

I must say that is pretty rough of Beyonce to call out Janet like that. I mean we all know that family was messed up. But honestly, look at how all the kids turned out, isn’t that punishment enough? They don’t need to be reminded by one of the biggest stars in the world right?

Soulja Boy Gets At Nas?

Soulja Boy has been in some beef lately, and honestly up until now, I wasn’t mad at him. I like the fact that a young gun isn’t afraid to come in and get in a few tussles. Most of these guys today are so concerned with the politics and possible collaborations they are afraid to step on a few toes. The weird thing to me though is SB’s choice of opponents. Earlier this year he went at it with West coast vet Ice-T in a series of hilarious YouTube diss segments. Now Soulja has been setting his sights on another vet, this time a legendary NYC MC.

Im talking about God’s Son, Nas. Recently, seemingly out of nowhere, SB had some choice words for Nas, actually saying that the Queens MC was responsible for the downfall of hip hop.

“The n***a that killed Hip-Hop is Nas. He came out publicly and said Hip-Hop is dead. If Nas would have never said that, they wouldn’t have had that terminology. He killed his own career with that s**t. If you do Hip-Hop and you come out and say “Hip-Hop is dead,” you killing your own career.”

To me this is not a good choice for Soulja Boy. I mean how can he win this one? There is no way the hip hop community will elect Soulja Boy over Nas.  Remember we reported just yesterday that Nas is supposedly working on “Ether 2”, the sequel to the barbaric diss song he aimed at Jay-Z, this time with new enemies. Maybe Soulja Boy will make it into the new roster? Hope not for him!

Lil Wayne And Juelz Finally Coming?

The “I Can’t Feel My Face” album has become somewhat of an urban myth in hip hop. Juelz Santana and Wayne have been promising and hyping this collaborative album for the past umm… like 4 years. Is it ever coming? Does it even exist? If it does will they ever put it out? Well recently Mr. A!, Juelz Santana spoke to an online mag and let it be known that the album does actually exist and it is coming.

“The album is done. Right now me and Weezy just waiting to let all the politics and all that work out. After that it’s a done deal.”

Hopefully so, because we’ve been waiting for this longer than The Carter III. Who else out there has a feeling that Juelz is stressing this album coming out just a little bit more than Wayne? Just a thought.
