The saga of Weezy’s rock album Rebirth has been an exhausting one. More pushbacks than I can count and constant criticism of the leaked songs, which was almost the whole album. However now a new whisper is coming out that may be more than rumor.

Word has it that this album is going to tank. Expected to ship out about 150,000 copies in its first week this is a huge slip for Weezy. I have heard several theories as to why this is happening, everything from no label support to the fans just not feeling it.  

I think this album will sound ok and sell ok as well. It won’t be a million in a week or anything but this is just something to tide the fans over until his next mixtape or the Carter 4 drops. And keep Wayne in your prayers as he is set to start that bid next week.

Heretic Signed To Shady Records?

If you live in the south and are on the mixtape scene it is more than likely you know about Florida rapper Heretic.  He’s one of the top spitters in Miami and it has been going around the streets down there that he is about to get a MAJOR look.

Word is that Heretic is getting down with none other than Eminem’s Shady Records! From what I heard some A&R heard the kid’s music on a blog site and brought some tracks immediately to the white boy why requested to hear more and meet with Heretic. I guess the meeting went good if this rumor is true as the person who hipped me to this said we should be hearing a formal announcement within a week or two.

Hopefully this is true and this can be a good look for Heretic as I’ve always been a fan. He’s got good music and the kid is wild as hell, which is always entertaining. Although I don’t know if Shady is the best place for him, as the last southern rapper they signed was Stat Qou, and he is where…? Exactly. Either way it’s good to hear that some real talent is finally getting some big looks.
