Mary J. Supposed To Be On Empire State Of Mind?  

Empire State Of Mind is an official hit record and possibly the biggest song of the year. However it has come out from Jay himself that in the beginning the version we hear now was not supposed to be what it was. In fact Hov says Alicia Keys wasn’t even going to be on the record until the last minute.

“I was two seconds away from calling Mary”, Jay says referring to his longtime collaborator Mary J. Blige. He says he opted not to though for the reason of keeping things moving forward. “It just would have been too easy so I reached, and it worked.”

I agree on this one. I can’t hear anyone but Alicia on this record now.  What is your favorite Mary J, and Jay-Z collab record of all time?

Wacka Flocka’s Chain Sighting!

In today’s internet driven hip hop game, it’s not enough to just get robbed. You have to have your shit flaunted on every web site by every goon and dropout on the block as well! Wacka Flocka Flame Spitta was shot and robbed weeks ago in his hometown of Atlanta and now the reported robbers have taken to the net to flaunt their score.

The two unnamed men shown here with the chain are still not known by their real names but the person who sent me this pic said they are well known low life’s and jack boys in the A. I was also told this was the dumbest move they could of made since they will most likely be snitched on by the time you read this report.

I gotta say though this is some funniness. Hold your head up though Wacka, it could always be worse. Yung Berg anyone…?

Beanie Sigel Disses T.I. And Jay-Z Again!

In this week’s episode of desperate broke rappers, Beanie Sigel has released yet another diss track going at Jay-Z and this time he’s even aiming at some of his friends, including none other than the King Of The South!
