Nick And Mariah Duet Album?

 

Nick Cannon has been pretty quiet on the music scene or any other scene for that mater since he wifed up Mariah Carey a year or so ago. Who can really blame him for that either, I would surely take a vacation if given the chance. We all know Nick tried his hand at rapping before him and Mariah got together but lately it has looked like we have seen the last of his MC days…hopefully.

 

However it is coming out that we are soon going to be hearing something new from Nick…and Mariah! Mariah has been releasing a few songs lately most notably her duet with Gucci Mane on the track “Obsessed”, but I am getting some serious intel that the two are about to do a duet album together. Word is the album was Nick’s idea, but Mariah shot it down thinking it was silly. However recently the lack of interest in her own music some are saying is what made her reconsider.  I guess Nick would do the rapping and Mariah the singing on this and my source tells me we could hear a single by mid July. I also was told that two labels have already expressed great interest in releasing this…

 

I don’t know if this would be a good look for Mariah though… Why not just fall back and spend your millions instead of trying to force your husband back into the public’s interest? Would any of you buy a Nick and Mariah album?

 

Gucci Mane Cleans Up?

 

The music biz is all about image. Gucci Mane has always been a street rapper and his image has reflected that. Tattoos all over, grills, a pot belly, goofy jewelry and posing with naked women cooking crack in the kitchen is Gucci’s usual steez. However you can only go so far with that image in this game and it looks like Gucci is going into full makeover mode to get some more of that mainstream money.

 

Word is since tasting a little bit more of that mainstream light with his verse on the Mariah Carey track “Obsessed” mentioned above, Gucci is ready to take his career to the next level. Gucci apparently wants more mainstream guest appearances and to become more of a sex symbol to the ladies. To do this I am hearing Gucci has hired a personal trainer to get that gut right and is about to switch up his whole wardrobe to more classy than flashy. My source tells me the music will stay the same but he will be more willing to clean it up and remove some of the constant drug themes.

 

Hey I cant really be mad at Gucci for this one. The game is shaky and while your in it you gotta get all you can. I only wonder if doing this will throw off his main fan base? Who knows though, even Jeezy slimmed down and is doing ads with his shirt off now, so this could work out for the guy. Maybe once the look is out of the way he could make some improvements on those hip hop quotable lyrics he blesses us with …I’m just saying. Peep some of the jewels he drops below.
