So the verdict is in, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are officially married. Sometime last week, MC was seen wearing a large diamond on her ring finger during the premiere of her new movie ‘Tennessee’ at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The time of the engagement has not been confirmed, however, the marriage is official as you have been hearing all over media outlets across the nation as they followed this story exclusively as we did here at 24hourhiphop.com.
People.com reported that MC and Cannon obtained a wedding license in the Bahamas where the quaint wedding ceremony took place. Bishop Clifford Petty of the National Church of God told People that he presided over the nuptials.
Apparently, recent speculations are circulating that the engagement ring given to MC, that she just so happens to be sporting, are rumored to have been once on the ring finger of Cannon’s ex-fiancée, current Victoria’s Secret model, Selita Ebanks. From different photos, speculators are reporting that this just might be true. Sources close to Ebanks are suggesting that the ring on MC’s finger is the same ring that was once given to Ebanks that night in New York when Cannon proposed to her using the Times Square jumbotron sometime last year. That same ring in question is reported to be the work of famed jeweler, Jacob & Co. It was described as “crafted from platinum and features a square emerald cut fancy light pink diamond as the center stone surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds and two half moon diamonds on each side with a total carat weight of the ring including center stone -10 carats all together 17 carats with a value of $2.5 million.”
At press time, representatives from both sides have yet to confirm or deny the reported marriage. Nick Cannon has also been scheduled to appear in the video for Mariah Carey’s next single, Bye, Bye.
On the real, if Nick Cannon is that damn stupid to use the same ring that I guess his money isn’t as long as I thought it was. I’m actually curious to know what Mariah thinks about all these rumors about this $2.5 million ring. Other than that, take a good look at the photo two rings provided and you be the judge?
