Oprah Smokes Rocks?

Now we all know Oprah hates hip hop. The billionaire talk show queen has charged that rappers promote the degradation of women, love violence and make drug use seem cool. All of which is true, but still hip hop has done a lot to change millions of lives in a positive way. Well now it is coming out that Oprah may not be so clean herself as new shocking charges of drug use are coming to the light.
 
Randolph Cook, a former boyfriend of Oprah is dishing the dirt on the titan in his new book, “The Wizard of O.”  Cook gives many lurid details about their personal and sex life in the book which is slated to hit shelves later this year. One particular passage that is getting a lot of attention though is one which details Oprah’s free base smoking habits. Read the excerpt below:

“Oprah made a “rock” of cocaine and baking soda in the tube and heated it, a method known as freebasing.

“[Oprah] then put the lit torch on the rock, inhaled and held the smoke in her lungs for a long time. When she finally exhaled, she began to shake violently as she put the pipedown, she had trouble catching her breath and her eyes got big as saucers.”

“We smoked at least a couple of times a week. Sometimes we would smoke up until her limo was waiting to take her to the studio to perform her show…”

Sweet. Oprah beaming up in the back of the limo is an image just begging to made into a TV movie scene. Now Oprah has not responded to these allegations publicly since they’ve been made. However, people close to her are saying that what Cook is saying is true and Oprah is going to admit it and try to move on. Hopefully Oprah can move past this and realize that everyone, including herself, has a past. Maybe this will cause her to stop shitting on rappers so much. Bitch.

Rick Ross Exposes Music Execs?

The biggest boss in the biz, Ricky Ross, has had his ups and downs in this game. Two #1 albums and most importantly millions of dollars has come his way. Unfortunately scandal and controversy as well has accompanied him on this journey. In a recent interview Ross spoke on certain situations and his current label status with Miami based label Slip-N-Slide, to whom he was originally signed before his Poe Boy / Def Jam deal. He has long expressed his desire to get off the label and said this his new album will not be coming out on Slip-N-Slide, but rather his own Maybach Music label. He also said that he has a track, titled Mafia Music, which is going to ruffle some feathers and expose the shadiness of the record biz.

“It’s a scathing four-and-half-minute nonstop flow, me being autobiographical about my life and my come-up and my triumph. Of course, I had to address a few things, I had to address a few people. I love it. The thing is, some people are gonna be — um — they’re gonna be f—ed up. That’s the best way I can put it.”

Now people are buzzing that the person he is going to be putting out there is Ted Lucas, the CEO of Slip-N-Slide. Another theory though is that he might be speaking on fellow Florida artists that have been hating and trying to discredit him since he started poppin in 04’ with “Hustlin”. Rumors of beef with Trick Daddy and Plies have been around for years so maybe this is who he could be going at?  Looks like we’ll have to stay tuned on this one and see where it goes.  

Max B Charged With Murder?

Being part of a successful rap crew is one of the best ways to get on and start getting this paper. Although falling out with said rap crew is also one of the surest ways to get ice cold, real quick. Max B though is one of the rare few who have been ousted from a crew, The Dipset, and still managed to survive in this game and do his thing. The Wavy One has been going hard on his internet steez and it has been paying off with a new label situation and several features to go along with a crazy street buzz. Now though, some trouble has popped up from Max’s past that could seriously derail his future.

Gina Conway, a former girlfriend of Max, is snitching on him and claiming that she helped Max and a henchman, Kelvin Leerdam, rob two men and kill one of them in an NYC hotel. Gina says she met two men who were flashing a lot of money in front of her, trying to get some ass. Gina says she then reported this to Max, who along with Leerdam went and robbed the two men, killing one in the process. Now what’s interesting is this woman is volunteering to snitch and is even implicating herself in the murder and robbery so now she is facing 18 years as well.

Max has not made any statement about this situation and it is not known yet whether he is in custody or not. It’s definitely not looking good for the Harlemite. One step forwards, two step backwards right?
