Rick Ross Outsells Eminem…Or Not?
BOSS! Ross has definitely been doing his thing lately and the first week numbers for his Teflon Don were a little over 200,000. The numbers were so good in fact that it was reported that he sold more than Eminem and knocked him off the #1 spot. This was reported by none other than Hits Daily Double, an extremely reputable sales tracking company.
However it has come out that maybe they jumped the gun a little bit and Eminem’s Recovery did in fact still sell more records than Ross. While they initially reported Ross outsold Em by 1000 discs they have come back and said that was Em who actually outsold Ross by 1000.
So this is actually the first Ross album that didn’t debut at #1. That Eminem is a beast! Do remember this album Recovery is over a month old now and still #1! All hail King Mathers!
Nicki Can’t Decide On An Album Title?
Of all the problems in the music biz I’ve never heard of this one. So the whole world is waiting on the debut album from Young Money titan Nicki Minaj. Hot singles, constant radio play, and the album almost completely finished. So what’s holding back the big promotional roll out from happening?
They can’t decide on a name for the album! Word is that Nicki’s album is pretty much done but every title she throws at her label is rejected and that everyone they throw at her she isn’t feeling either. Nicki spoke briefly when asked about this whole debacle and she only had this to say about the delay:
“Maybe we should call it … The Album,” she ruminated. “Nicki Minaj: The Album,” she continued before dismissing the idea. “I don’t know, it’ll come.”
An album being delayed for the title? How about just no name? A self titled debut…they don’t do those anymore? Despite all this though Nicki does still maintain that the album will be coming sometime in November so don’t get too sad Barbies!
