Saigon vs. Joe Budden

This coming February 24th, Joe Budden witll be releasing a new album. Despite being regarded by some as one of the best rappers around, only hardcore fans know that it has really been years since he has dropped an album that isn’t digital.

Despite the anticipation of his new album, there is a lot more surrounding Joe Budden at the moment, especially his ongoing feud with New York artist Saigon. Saigon’s fame is built around his New York following, but his name is known, as he made guest appearances on the hit HBO show ‘Entourage’ throughout the years.

The reported beef stems from what Saigon feels was Budden using his name disrepectfully during one of his ‘B.E.T. punchlines’. Saigon also states that ‘I guess he’s trying to bait me into a rap battle like he’s known for doing..I have never had a lyrical rap beef because its not my thing. I beef a little differently. I know I just said I woudn’t harm a person who didnt try to harm me but I feel he’s trying to harm my credibilty.’ Saigon also went on to claim he would slap ‘Earth, Wind, and Fire’ out of Budden if the two ever met and from the there things began to escelate.

Upon hearing of Saigon’s remarks, Budden would address them during an interview with Pete Rosenberg on Hot97. Budden would go on to state…

“See the problem with that is, the only person I fear in this world is God. It’s only one problem with rappers making those comments, I actually can fight,” Joe says. “I used to box. I don’t get on the records and start talking Tough Tony, but if it ever went there I don’t have a problem with it at all.”

As he dug deeper into the subject, Budden came across like a man simply out to focus on his life, and not others.

“The sad part about it is I’m trying to make records and do the things I gotta do. The people that are coming at me, and I’m not really referencing Saigon, but the people that are coming at me online, mixtapes and so forth and so on. It’s a waste of time. We’re not really in the same weight class lyrically, so I mean what really woud be the point of it but to get embarrassed. And even is Saigon wants to take it there, I’d rap circles around him too, so what are we doing here. You’re wasting your time.”

Saigon would go on to diss Budden during on a video featured at World Star Hip Hop, claiming he would have to get physical with Budden if the two were to ever meet. Saigon followed that up with a diss track, and the two went back and forth again, leading us to where we are now, with Budden releasing the track ‘Letter to Saigon’ on his upcoming February 24th album, Padded Room. Along the way Budden has made mention that he knows Saigon got fucked while he was in jail and that Saigon needs to use other rappers to ghostwrite his material, such as Serius Jones, Murda Mook, and Loaded Lux. Stay tuned for more drama…

Trump doesn’t like 50 Cent’s chances of his new show surviving

Recently during in a TV aired new interview, Donald Trump went on the record about everything from former President Bush’s incompetence to 50 Cent’s new MTV show ‘The Money and The Power.’

In the show 50 Cent gathers 14 of America’s ambitious young entreprenuers to see which of them is the next business mogul. The contestants have the chance of earning $100,000 along with, you guessed it, power and respect.

Donald is claiming he is friends with 50 Cent, but also went on to mention that 50’s new show is just ‘a copy of the apprentice and will fail, because he isn’t me.’

Did Mr. Trump have some Hater-Aid in his morning coffee? Or like most of us is he just not a fan of the over zealous rapper? I guess we will see at the end of the season what 50’s rating numbers were like, I’m with Donald on this one.
