Scarface Making A Comeback?

This is one that I hope is more than just a rumor. Like most of you, I as well was saddened by the news last year that Scarface would be putting down the mic and his last album, Emeritus, would be his graceful bow out of the game. While that album was another classic it could never make up for the fact that one of the best was leaving us. Face said he mainly just wanted to chill with his family, play golf, and occasionally strum the guitar as far as the music goes.

Well brighten up people! If what I am hearing is true we will soon have a reason to celebrate because more depressed raps could be coming our way! There’s been talk in the south  that Uncle Face is plotting another album. It seems he just can’t get it out of his blood, like other retirees in the hip hop game. A few DJ’s have hit me up and let me know that Face’s label, Rap-A-Lot, has been sending out the word to get the streets ready for that new Face Mob. Some speculate the album must be near completion since these rumors are coming from his label’s way.

Like I said I hope this one is true as we need some of that Scarface in the game right now. I just wonder why the secrecy? Maybe just a plot to build up some anticipation…? I must say if so, Face doesn’t need it. The streets are ready for him anytime. Speaking of ‘retired’ MC’s making a comeback there’s another one who is about to get his feet wet again, though I’m hearing for entirely different reasons…

The Game Going Broke?

Last week at a show in Anaheim, California, The Game announced that he was going back on his word, again, and releasing a fourth studio album. Do you remember he said his previous and only third album, L.A.X, would be his last? But honestly there’s no real surprise there. This guy changes his mind so much, I stopped listening to anything he says not behind a mic. First he’s beefing with this guy, then they’re cool. He loves hip hop, he hates hip hop, he wants to kill himself, he tats a butterfly on his face. Ooops, that was dumb! Think I’ll just cover it up with an L.A. symbol, then top it off with a gay star. Anyway, sorry people but sometimes I have to vent!

Well I am hearing from several people that the real reason The Game is releasing another album is a very simple one. He needs money! Supposedly The Genius just now figured out that he might need a little bit more bread for the rest of his life than just three albums could bring him. I mean that show money will dry up pretty quick if your not on the radio. My people tell me The Game balled a little too hard last year, buying up all sorts of shit, ranging  from private jet rides to the purchase of three new luxury whips, including a drop top Phantom. Now he needs that get back and is about to hit the studio to make it happen. Add to that, he also still owes his label, Geffen, two more records and they still want their piece of the pie as well.

I must say either way I’m not really mad at this one. The Game is a dope rapper, so any new work from him I’m all for it. After all I don’t expect my entertainers to be genius, just entertaining, but some of the shit this guy says and does is just crazy. The whole I wanna kill myself marketing campaign of his last album? Come on guy, suicide is not keeping it gangsta!

Joe Budden’s Girl Striking Out On Her Own?

If you’ve been paying attention to the blogs, you know the story of Joe Budden and his girl. For some reason this guy thinks the public is going to perceive him as a star and buy his records if he keeps showing them his girlfriend’s beautiful Dominican ass. Video after video of Joe and his girl are posted weekly on his site, with them pretty much doing nothing. Her doing laundry, them eating together, them playing cards, just regular Joe shit I guess right? Right… it’s gotten a little old. Well his girlfriend, Tahiry has pretty much been the star of the show, or better yet her gifted behind, and has attained quite a little cult internet following.

Well if what I’m hearing is true, it looks like ole Joey’s created a monster he can’t handle. Word is Tahiry is looking to cash in on her 15 minutes and is about to ditch Joe to launch her own site and rapping career! The Bronx born cutie has been seen checking out a few different studios and some of her friends have leaked the word she is about to try her own hand with this music thing. The chicks who gave out the intel say the only reason she hasn’t acted on the plan yet is because she honestly feels bad, since Joe’s career has been reduced to internet blogs and freestyle sessions with other out of work MC’s.

Damn I must say this one’s gotta sting. What can you expect though if all you do is put your girls fat ass on blast, forgetting that your own career needs serious help. I mean talent only goes so far in this unfair world, ya feel me? Hopefully Joe can get his mind right and put the curtains on this chick before she gets way out of pocket. Either that or send her to pimpin Curly, you know how he do!
