Slaughterhouse Going To Shady Or Not?
When Slaughterhouse appeared in the new video for “Forever” standing behind Eminem as he rapped his verse hopes were immediately high that something bigger than a cameo was going on. Since Royce and Em have a relationship most assumed that the group was naturally going to Shady Records. However shortly after the buzz started it was all shut down by none other than Mr. 5”9 himself as he said that it was simply a right place right time type of deal and there were no negotiations to bring the group to Em’s label.
“There’s gonna be rumors when somebody see something like that but it just is what it is…We just all family. As everybody knows, Em is a good friend of mine. We’ve been good friends for years. I just had my Slaughterhouse brothers in town and Paul asked me to come down and be in the video and they just happened to be in town with me so I just brought ’em”
Seemed over and done with right? However just yesterday Nickel Nine gave an interview to MTV News which said just the opposite and that the group was indeed trying to go to Shady.
“I’ve been talking to Em and Paul for a long time,” Royce added. “With this particular situation, things are falling into place. Everything is in place where it’s supposed to be. I’m very prepared [for] when the opportunity presented itself. It’s a time where there’s things they need over here and certain things we need in order to move over there. I think it’s a good marriage. Like I said, I just hope it can happen.”
So I guess for now they are trying to go to Shady? I know I can’t personally think of a better label for this group to be on and I know all these out of work ass rappers need this push so if it doesn’t happen, I think we will know why. Hopefully this can happen for the sake of good hip hop. And go cop that SlaughterHouse album, it is dope…even with Mr. ultra regular ass Joe Budden in the group.
Lloyd Vs. Ciara?
This one I never saw coming. It’s always funny when super poppy acts try to go at one another. Recently Lloyd had some unflattering comments for fellow fallen industry star Ciara. I didn’t even know the two ever kicked it like that but I guess recently Lloyd has gained a new take on CiCi. Peep the quote below:
“I don’t f**k with Hollywood b**ches and she’s like one of the chicks that’s just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that. I don’t really get down with her anymore on some real s**t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best.”
Ouch! How will CiCi get back at this one? Can anybody hit me up with some info on how these two used to be connected? And I thought Ciara was supposed to be disappearing somewhere anyway? Oh wait, she did!
Shyne Has To Go Back To Diddy?
The trial of P. Diddy and Shyne almost assured everybody of two things. Diddy had enough bread to beat the system and Shyne did not fuck with him at all. Getting separate lawyers and never appearing with him outside of the court room Shyne even went on record in several interviews and basically said Diddy is a backstabber and has no loyalty.
So it was safe for all of us to think that Shyne and Diddy were totally through with each other but it looks like that is not the case. Recently Diddy said he has been in contact with Shyne and it sounds like everything is cheery between the two.
“It’s a blessing that he’s coming home. I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”
I’m hearing despite all the bad feelings Shyne may have for Diddy the fact is that Diddy still has Shyne on contract and it looks like when Shyne comes home no matter what he will have to pay the piper. Whether he finds some outside deal or not Diddy will still own him as an artist and will eat off of every project he makes. The word is order to cut out more middle men Shyne is opting to just go straight with Puff and put out all his new music through Bad Boy. They always did call Diddy the paper gangster! Looks like he’s living up to that name…
