If you purchased the pay-per-view of Manny Pacquiao vs. “Sugar” Shane Mosley over the weekend, you may have been a little surprised when you saw who walked out with Manny Pacquiao.

Last week, we reported that Rick Ross would be escorting Manny Pacquiao to the ring on Saturday night. Up until fight day, members of Ross’ Maybach Music Group were seen at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas. After Shane Mosley countered the Ross and Pacquiao combination by having LL Cool J walk him to the ring with a performance of “Mama Said Knock You Out,” fans anticipated the bearded Ross to bring the Filipino wrecking machine to the ring. Instead, Jimi Jamison of rock group Survivor emerged from the tunnel with a performance of the Rocky III theme song “Eye Of The Tiger” as Pacquiao walked to the ring still sporting a special Team Pacquiao/Maybach Music Group shirt. Social media networks lit up with inquiries as to what happened with Rick Ross. TheWellVersed reached out to Warner Music Group to find out why Ross was pulled at the last minute. “Ross didn’t walk out due to an ‘issue with the promoter,’” a representative from the label said.

No other reason was given as of press time. More on this as it develops(via TheWellVersed.com).
