Performance Anxiety

It can be the most devastating occurrence in a man’s life.
In front of him, stands a beautiful, sexy and willing naked woman.
Unfortunately, though he is willing, his penis isn’t. There he stands,
actually, there isn’t much standing going on. His penis is limp. Embarrassing?
Yes. Confusing? Of course. Especially when the man involved is at a reasonably
young age. Though he may not be suffering from a permanent form of erectile function, he can suffer from a more common ailment called “performance anxiety.”
Performance anxiety occurs when an individual develops brutal anxiety when it
comes to sexual activity. It can lead to low self-esteem, deteriorated
relationship and worst, erectile dysfunction. Pinpointing the cause and
addressing them can overcome performance anxiety.

Causes

The mind controls everything. If the mind is in disarray, so
will the rest of the body. Stress is a major cause of performance anxiety. If
someone is dealing with a tough circumstance or has a lot on their mind, it can
affect them sexually. Financial, family and personal problems can be
overwhelming. If you are under an incredible amount of stress, find ways to
relax. Take an afternoon jog, a long shower or take part in any stress
relieving other than sex. Under these circumstances, the pressure to perform
sexually may add to your anxiety. Get your stress under control first and then
engage in sexual activity.

Take Your Time

When under pressure, it is best to slow things down. In
football, when a quarterback is having a difficult time, the coaches call easy
plays to help him see things better. It makes it easier for him. Use the same
principle when it comes to having sex. Slow things down, if the pressure to
perform sexually is overwhelming. Engage in more foreplay. Take the pressure
off of you and focus on her. Let your mind be taken over by thoughts of her.
Take in the experience. Feel the warmth of her skin and the heat in between her
legs. Let her moans resonate inside your ears. The anxiety originates in your
mind so overcome it with sexual thoughts.

If performance anxiety occurs frequently, see your doctor as
you may be experiencing a larger problem. Don’t be afraid to seek help.

Note: Sex should always be committed between two consenting
adults. Always practice safe sex.
