Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are a very young, rich, and happy couple. But for them to be that, someone had to have their life turned upside down. Unfortunately in this case that person is Mashonda. We haven’t heard much from her when it comes to the whole situation of her man being stolen from her publicly by one of the biggest R&B stars in the world. Until now.

Mashonda recently spoke out and let it be known Swizz’s affair had a very devastating effect on her that led her down a dark path.

“I didn’t sleep for a whole year. I had to take pills to sleep because I’d wake up in the middle of the night crying,” Mashonda stated. “I couldn’t even look at my son some days because I didn’t have the strength and I never wanted him to feel my bad energy. It was a battle.”

Mashonda also revealed that she still has not had a single conversation with Alicia and wishes that they could have handled it responsibly.

“I wished we could have done it a different way. If she would just acknowledge me… I was begging for this person to just talk to me, woman to woman,” Mashonda lamented.

I guess there is no happy ending to this one for everybody…
