The career of Jadakiss seems to finally be coming full circle. Taking a trip back in time reveals just how far the New York MC has progressed over the years. At the age of 17 Jadakiss was already engaging in freestyle battles in Florida and seemed to have a real taste for his future. After being invited to rap in the “Jack the Rapper Competition”, Jada would later link up with Dee and Wah from the ‘Ruff Ryders’ and his story would take another turn.

In 1994 Jadakiss became a part of the group, ‘The Warlocks’, who later changed their name to simply ‘The LOX’ after signing with Bad Boy Entertainment. The group would form a connection with the Notorious B.I.G., who personally took Jadakiss under his wing.

Jadakiss would emerge with his first solo album in 2001, titled ‘Kiss the Game Goodbye’. ‘Kiss of Death’ was released in 2004, spawning Jada’s biggest hit to date, ‘Why’, which was later remixed with such talent as Styles P, Common, and Nas on the track. Throughout his career Jadakiss has been no stranger to controversy and has had a much publicized feuds with the likes of Beanie Sigel, 50 Cent, and even Bill O’Reilly.

For the past years Jadakiss wasn’t around the scene as much but returned with his third album, ‘The Last Kiss’ in April of this year, which has received positive buzz from many. Jadakiss also unveiled plans to name his upcoming fourth album in 2010, titled ‘Top Five, Dead or Alive’. The title itself has already lead to much debate from fans and insiders alone and it’s safe to say that Jadakiss will be back for a while.

Wanting to get a better sense of what everyone is saying about the brazen rapper, 24 Hour Hip Hop dug into a few choice forums to gather everyone’s thoughts on Jadakiss’ recent release, his bold title ‘Top Five, Dead or Alive’, and the rapper himself. In the public’s own words, this is Pulse of a Nation, All About Jadakiss

(DJ Fingatipz @ Amazon.com)…
“In this day in age with swagger rappers and dance gimmicks. Jadakiss was able to still give us a classic lp. He had to change with the times on the collabs but its still a classic at this day in age. Give him a break hip hop is not where it was when you have MCs rapping over breaks and jazz riffs and chopped samples. Hip hop is all about changes so he adopted and still come out on top. We need to start buying records again instead of downloading the best songs online. That would bring hip hoop back if we go out and buy music.”

(GetMoney123 @ MTV.com)…
“Jadakiss is top 10 dead or alive. Top 5? I don’t think so. My top 5 (no order): Nas, Biggie, Pac, Racism, Common/Black Thought.”

(BigUp2BK @ Sohh.com)…
“This is the joint I have been waiting for. I think Jada and Rick Ross will have the best joints of the year. To hell with sells, that is not my interest. In terms of the music, Jada and Ross will have the best joints of the year.”

(Ravenous @ HipHopDX.com)…
“Jada is one of the FEW niggaz out there still bringin it and possesses skill. The south niggaz can rot in the depths of hell for destroying hip-hop.”

(EddieDiamond @ MTV.com)…
“I like Jada, but I don’t think he’s top 5 alive. And people are gonna hate on me for it, but I don’t think Biggie or 2pac are top 5 anymore anyways. Both are probably top 10 but not top 5.”

(Clo-Fresh @ Sohh.com)…
“Yo, when certified lyrical dudes leak their own album on the net, and it’s that fiyah, I’m more proned to go cop that, simply cause I heard it and know it’s hot…Y’all can say what you want, but Jada’s last album was a disappointment….But this right here, this is that work, gonna cop that..”

(Jay82 @ OnSmash.com)…
“We all know Jada holds it down time after time…”

(Titans4801 @ HipHopDX.com)…
“His new shit is wack! He does have like 3 tracks i like on it but as a whole it just doesnt deliver…”top 5 dead or alive”? Doubt it!”

(Kalamishamishi @ Youtube.com)…
“Jada is so fucking underrated. Everytime I see a top 20 list wihout Jada upon it , I’m getting it twisted.”

(The Trooth @ MTV.com)…
“Let me put my two cents in! Its a hard call..it comes down to prefrence!!I mean you can not front.. the kid is nice!!Top 5..I’m sure a lot of folks would say yes!! Honestly..I would fight with MYSELF about who the TOP 5 are! I think a lot of people are nice!! Em…Jay Rakim..Slick Rick…..Big..Pac…Scarface…I’m from the Bay so Not having E-40 at least in the top TEN is not right!! But Jada..He is in the Top 15 for sure!!

(OmegaBlaze @ RealTalkNY.com)…
“How is Jada Top 5 Dead or Alive? When he cant do something as simple as doing more of his own hooks?? Look at his last album..and the one before that..and the one before.. full of features! Kiss of death of my fav. by the way lol..but..Niccaz cant even do hooks..talkin bout top 5.No one wants to hear continuous bars. Some of ya fav rappers need to step it up.”

(Blitzlegga @ HipHopDX.com)…
“yo for real, the main reason why this album is kinda whack is because Jada keep talkin about how much money he got, his cars, his crib, and you KNOW he aint got it like that. before he even gets a dime, roc-a-fella, def jam, ruff ryders, AND diddy get their cut. this mutha fuckers in debt talkin bout his ferrari and porsha…..nigga please!”

(Manayard @ MTV.com)…
“The Kiss is definitely in the top 5, that dude is a beast, when you look at his whole body of work, including mixtapes Jada is your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. He don’t get the marketing but the streets know son is NICE.”

(RobbieTheRipper17 @ Youtube.com)…
“I doubt jada does half the things hes talked about but yonkers is not a pretty place…well the parts he lived in. There is some crazy shit that goes down between Mount Vernon, New Ro and Yonkers.”

(Anonymous @ HipHopDX.com)…
“My dude jadakiss is long over due for his turn to really shine. Don’t get it fucked up he has been shining since the lox album and he is here now.”

(BeatRock243 @ MTV.com)…
“Jada is that dude.”

(MuffinMan @ Imdb.com)…
“I admire Jadakiss for his ability to bounce back. It isn’t easy in this industry but he’s found a way to persevere.”

(HipHop&Depression @ RealTalkNY.com)…
“As far as this topic, maybe Kiss’ next album can solidify his spot, cause I did not enjoy The Last Kiss. Maybe I’m the only one who’s going to admit it.”
