When the 2009 MTV Movie Awards were announced, Eminem was to be a key ingredient to the show’s theatrics, but not even the most wild of imaginations could have thought of what would happen tonight.
Things started relatively easy for the Movie Awards and Eminem later came on stage for a much anticipated performance. The infamous rapper came out and performed two of his recent songs ‘We Made You’ and ‘Crack A Bottle’ to moderate success. While the crowd may not have been feeling him entirely, Eminem still seemed in his element with his performance.
Later the online critics would go on to critique Eminem’s showcase, some of them harping on his lack of desire while others were more subdued and gave the man his proper credit. Little did we all know, however, that Eminem would again have another huge appearance on the Awards show before the night was over.
Minutes later Sacha Baron Cohen came flying down from the sky. Only catch was that Cohen was fresh into his ‘Bruno’ alter ego as a gay Austrian fashion show presenter and, needless to say, was wearing an outfit that was a bit too revealing.
‘Bruno’ would go on to land in full 69 position on top of Eminem in front of the crowd to see and needless to say the Detroit rapper was far from pleased. Eminem would curse profanities, shove Cohen off of him, and storm out of the awards ceremony in a very angry state. Later the debate raged as to whether Eminem was seriously irate or whether or not he was just acting.
