Pulse of a Nation: Nick Cannon Promises ‘Repercussions’ will be Served to Eminem

Ever since getting married to Mariah Carey in early 2008, Nick Cannon hasn’t really been in the public’s spotlight as much as you would expect. All that has come to a change recently as Nick has taken major offense to a leaked song from Eminem’s new CD, ‘Relapse,’ entitled ‘Bagpipes From Baghdad”.
 
In the track Eminem raps about taking Carey ‘back’ from Cannon, despite Mariah herself denying the Detroit rapper’s claims that he and the songbird were linked together for six months. Needless to say, Nick Cannon has fired back with some verbal venom of his own towards Eminem and this could be the start of something interesting.
 
After being called a ‘prick’ by Eminem and hearing his own wife being called a whore on the same track, Nick has come back with a salvo of his own verbal assaults towards Eminem. He did so via his own personal blog this past Friday.
 
Cannon spoke of how poor Em’s recent effort as an artist was and even made mention that he felt it was old material, circa 2001, before realizing that his own name was mentioned on the track. Cannon also spoke of Eminem’s ‘racial bigotry’ and made a point to mention that his wife had been through enough racial and ethnicity issues throughout her life.
 
Cannon went on and one with his verbal tirade, even making mention of Oprah Winfrey and the first lady, Michelle Obama. He questioned Eminem’s tactics towards calling his wife such slanderous names and promised that there would be ‘repercussions’ for Eminem once the dust has settled. He finished up his blog by saying that Eminem’s own career had been tainted the minute he made mention of the power couple in his track and vowed to not let this go away.
 
Wanting to get a better perspective of the heightening drama, 24 Hour Hip Hop took a drive through some choice forums on the net to gather the thoughts of the everyday public. From their thoughts on Eminem’s initial remarks to Nick Cannon’s counter attacks, this is what everyone is saying…
