Introduce yourself. Who are you? Where are you from? What is your background / nationality?

My Name is 8Eight, I’m an Artist from North Miami born and raised. I am half Jamaican and Haitian.

How did you get your Artist name?

I got my name from looking deep into myself after my first situation didn’t go as planned out. When I was in a group and I needed to rebuild my platform and I found that 8’s are seen as a powerful number all over the world (peace wholeness ,favor) so I got into numerology heavy and that brought me to name myself the number 8 that represented me and the balance and chaos like yin and yang put together.

What motivated you to get into Music?

I always knew this is what i wanted to do since i was a child. My mom had this VHS of all Micheal Jackson’s songs and videos and I would watch it from the beginning to end trying to sing and dance like him. I’ve always been created.

What makes you unique / stand out as an Artist compared to the rest?

My sound for sure I like to switch it up I’m always trying to do something that ain’t been done before. My energy is one of a kind.

I came up with big D and lamb and they taught me a lot and from there I worked with Betty Wright ,Fernando Garibay ,Danga Zone and Usher Vincent Berry II ,Jermaine Dupri ,Jazze Pha and Afro jack , Sevyn Streeter, Tyla Yaweh ,Yung Pinch ,Serayah and a bunch of others.

What are somethings you would like to achieve and why?

Plaques plaques and more plaques!!! I would like to break as many records as possible make history and change my family cycle sell out arenas be on the billboard top 100 for more than 10 years and I want it because it’s all about legacy for me and I’m trying to leave a big impact.

What are some past achievement worth mentioning?

Every one of my achievement is worth mentioning to me but I’ll say my music getting a million plus streams all my records and my music being played on the radio.

On a personal level, how would you describe yourself in detail?

I’m antisocial if i don’t know you but if I feel like my energy is on 150% then i’m humble. I’m passionate about almost everything I do. I like to listen more then to speak I just be peepin stuff out.

What is your latest single? What are you working on?

Doley is the Single I’m pushing right now And I’m working on the Doley Ep right now.

In this music industry, what is something you learned the hard way?

That the music and the business are two separate things in this industry.

How long have you been doing music? What got you into Music?

I’ve been doing music my whole life really and I feel like everything in my life has led me to music.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself in the music industry and why?

10+ plaques 2 studio albums down at least gold or platinum for every single and a diamond certification for some of my work or any collaboration I have done.

Who were some music influence’s you listened to while growing up? What do you remember when you think about them?

Chris Brown and Usher all the 90’s hits ,Plies Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne Drake all of 90’s dance hall.
