24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your repping?

Al-Doe: What’s going on its the young homie Al-Doe. Straight out the Bronx, NY repping B.B.M./WannaBlow Ent.!

24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world and what separates you from the next new artist?

Al-Doe: What I bring to the game is that hunger. That real hip-hop feeling, and that everyday life shit everybody goes through. There’s a lot of new up and coming artists doing their thing but a lot of them are just concerned with the woman, cars, money and jewelry. You see before the music I had women, I was in and out of hot cars, and I was raised around real street niggaz getting money so I’m not in the game for those reasons. I just love making “Genuine heart felt music” for all types of listeners.

24: I recently saw your video that you did for your single “Im That/Married TO The Game” so tell me how did the concept of the video come about and were you happy with the response from it?

Al-Doe: Well, actually one of the directors who’s a friend of mine Arm called me one day and said he was in his crib listening so some of my joints and he thought we should do a video for “I’m That“. So that’s basically how it came about, he wrote a treatment for the video and two weeks later we were shooting. “Married to the Game” was a recent joint I had recorded that my man V’Don produced and I was getting a good response from a lot of people who heard it, so we decided to throw a verse from there at the end of the video. The video got a great response I’m still getting a lot of emails and phone calls about. It was featured on Worldstarhiphop. com, Onsmash.com, and Yahdigg. com as well as here on 24HourHipHop.com.

24: Who were some artist that you would say influence you musically?

Al-Doe: I’m a fan of hip hop in general I was the young kid downloading every new song and running to get every new album or mixtape so I just love Hip-Hop all around but a couple of influences for me would have to be Jay Z, Nas Styles P, Cam’Ron, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Pusha T, Shyne, early DMX and Beanie Sigel. That’s the era I grew up in so I would have to say those artists.

24: Tell me about your team B.B.M.(Brother’s Before Money) and how did B.B.M. come about?

Al-Doe: B.B.M. is basically my day one niggaz. Like growing up going half on chinese food and going 3 & 3 for a nick and a dutch. They been my niggaz when rap wasnt even an option for me so I know that when the fame comes I got real niggaz wit me who really dont give a fuck about rap. They just want to see me doing good, and just being the type of nigga I am, if I’m good they good! Brothers Before Money is a way of life. If I got it then you got it. If I got 100 dollars and I’m with one of my niggas then we both got 50.

24: What’s some of the projects your currently working on?

Al-Doe: I’m working on a mixtape/album called “THE CONNECT“. I say its an album because it’s going to be all original songs with skits, no freestyles. I want to show people my song making ability and take myself to the next level. That’s basically what I’m focusing on now and then I got some mixtape ideas to do with other up and coming artists so we’ll see what happens with that after I get my shit done.

24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?

Al-Doe: In the past I have worked with The Heatmakers, Scram Jones, Omen, and Arm & V’Don of Tha Factory Productions. I currently have some stuff from The Soul Diggaz, J. Cardim, WMS the Sultan and a couple of other up and coming producers. In the future I would love to work with Alchemist, Havoc, Just Blaze, Kanye, and Pharrell.

24: Are you going after a Major label or an Indie situation right now?

Al-Doe: Honestly, right now I’m just trying to build my buzz up to where I have enough momentum to go after a major label but i need the labels to come after me. A lot of niggaz say independent is where the moneys at but I feel like I’m a star, I need to be with a major label. I’m not here to do shit halfway get a lil money and disappear, I’m trying to go down in history.

24: What should the readers look out for from you in 2009?
