The streets gave me my name AMP. Short for my birth name. I just took it abbreviated the letters A.M.P to mean (Another Magnificent Person).

24: How and why did you start rapping?

I started rapping very young with friends in the hood as just recreation. As time past they noticed I had a little talent and they always encourged me to really persue a carrier in music.I grew up listening to hiphop music and love the changes it has taken over the years. It was only right I that do what I love

24: What is your label situation?

Right now I am signed to Fetti Records a Ft.Lauderdale, FL based indie. I have a mixtape ‘Dope Supply’ Vol. 1 set for release July 4th.Volume 2 and album ‘King Of The City’ completed and comimg soon.

24: What separates you from other rappers?

What separates me from other rappers is Im bringing my life story the beats. Who else could rap my life but me. Also I compliment the beats with killer flows and raw punchlines and lyrics.

24: What is the message you’re trying to send with your music?

The message I’m sending with my music is I’m living proof that you could make it from the hood to the big screen because thats were I’m headed. As long as you love what you do, practice your craft and belive in yourself you can make it.

24: Who has influenced your music?

Growing up I was influenced by alot of West Coast rappers like NWA, 2-Short, Tupac and Westside Connection. I also found influence in East Coast rappers like Biggie, Jay-Z, Busta and Jadakiss. I’m loving what the southern rappers are doing in the game right now. Rappers like T.I., Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. I cant forget about legends UGK, 8Ball and MJG.

24: How is the Fort Lauderdale music scene different from all the other Hip Hop markets?

The difference between other Hip Hop music scenes and Ft. Lauderdale is that other Hip Hop scenes are more developed and connected than we are. Everyone is all for them self or with just their niggas. It’s love but not real love. But we’re trying which means we’re growing, which means we’re coming. So stay tune. Broward County stand up!!!Lauderdale what they do!

24: What would you say is thebes and worst thing about the music industry?

The bad thing about the music industry right now is record sales. It’s harder for rappers to sell now.The best thing about the music industry is it’s wide open right now. The game is looking for a new face. A new sound. A new movement with swag and a whole different energy from whats been going on lately.

24: What singles or mixtapes are you currently pushing and how can people reach out to you?

The single I’m promoting now is ‘Ima G’ from my mixtape Dope Supply Vol.1, set for release the 4th of July. It’s hosted by Dj Papa Smurf. Volume 2 completed and coming soon. My album ‘King Of The City’ is 80% done and coming soon to stores near you.

24: Your promotional vehicle was involved in a shooting Easter Sunday where one person was killed and one person was injured? How has that affected you as an artist and how do you think things like this can be prevented in the future?

First of all I would like to send my prayers to the family of the victim who was killed. He was my friend our family and truly will be missed.Prayers out to injured.Thank God for his blessings. But, I would like to let it be clear that my van was not involed in the shooting. My van was just the vehicle used to get to the hospital and it just so happen our friend past in the process. We are deeply affected. Im affected and we must learn from the situation.Everything
happens for a reason. We must learn how to turn the negative into the positive. And what ever you do don’t stop.
