24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Ampichino: I am Ampichino a dope mc from Akron, Ohio. I have about 17 projects out right now.. I am in a group called The Regime, with Yukmouth, Tech N9ne, and a slew of others. I also got two albums called Traffic with Berner from Taylor Gang…

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Ampichino: What inspired me was hearing dope mc’s like Kool G Rap, Nas, Scarface and Ice Cube.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Ampichino: It wasn’t a Hip-Hop scene in Akron, Ohio, I actually created the Hip-Hop scene around here. I am the godfather of rap from my area.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Ampichino: Because I don’t follow the trends I set them.. I make music from the heart, not what I think is gonna sell. I have a unique voice and compelling story telling abilities.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Ampichino: Well I just dropped a double album called Da Krazies 2 that’s dope with a lot of dope features. And I am working on my next solo album called “War Of The Worlds”!

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Ampichino: I have worked with Mike Mosely he did a lot of stuff for 2Pac, C-Bo, E40 and others. I also worked with Mike Dean, he was Rap-a-lot in house producer he did a lot of stuff for Scarface and Yukmouth and them. He is working with Kayne West real heavy right now. I also worked with Rythem D and Mr. Lee.. But lately I been working with Joe Mill, Hyphy, Golden Eye 95 they all from Akron. Also Dame On Da Slaps and Keal they from KC.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Ampichino: Yes, because my movement is grass root, so it ain’t forced on them. So all my fans r really my fans by their choice.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make your self a household name?

Ampichino: Get the right machine behind me, because I already got the hits…

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Ampichino: I think it’s dope, because u can actually make a living off of what u do. Even tho I grew up in the era were the music was more pure, but once we started forming our own labels u have to have the right product to compete with the big companies. So u have to b versatile and b able to make what the people wanna hear.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Ampichino: Real-estate  I have about 12 properties and one commercial property. And I’m starting a model agency were the woman don’t have to worry about Doing stuff they don’t wanna do to be seen. So all the beautiful ladies out there that just want a chance come holler at me..

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Ampichino: I see myself building my empire up by doing what we been doing and that’s making good quality music the way we wanna do it.
