24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.
What’s Good? It’s yours truly, Bishop… Arch Bishop to get technical.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into the industry and what inspired you?
I started writing rhymes in high school. Nothing serious really, it was just a hobby or something to do, So I didn’t have to pay attention bin class, but I’ve always been a big fan of music. Right around 2002, I met my close friend “Mercy”, ever since then we’ve just been perfecting our craft. Nothing in particular though.

24: What makes Bishop unique as an artist and different from other rappers?
My honesty, my character, my unwillingness to compromise myself for any reason. I do it for a different reason than a lot of these rap guys. Not to say that their reasons are right or wrong. Their just different. I LOVE Music. It’s that simple with me. Money or no money, hit song or not, with or without Radio play. I’m going to continue to make music.

24: Have you ever felt like too much time passes in the game where you have to make it and that window is closing?
I don’t have a time limit. Music is for life but to answer your question, at 25 Years Old, I’m content with my position & my progress.

24: As of right now, who in the industry would you say you listen to on a regular and would probably like to work with in the near future?
I listen to a lot of Joe Budden, J. Cole, Trey Songz. It varies; Drake, of course. A lot of R&B shit too. As far as artists I would like to work with go… I’ve always wanted to work with Colin Munroe, I like Big Sean, J. Cole, Lloyd, Adam Levine. The list goes on.

24: In the beginning stages of your mixtape, what producers have you worked with or would like to work with on this upcoming project?
On this project I’ve gotten production from WHP, DeVilla, Next Level, Ready Rock, The Synthesis, Conrad Beats, The Composer. All good dudes with great talent. Much respect to y’all. In the future I’d like to work with the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, “40”, Kanye West, even Boi-1Da.

24: Can you give us an estimation of a time period on when that album will (grace the shelves/available for download)?
Well, first & foremost, The #MomentOfTruth is up & available NOW. Follow Me @Arch_Bishop, download the mixtape. I’m still perfecting my craft. Looking forward to generating that so-called “Buzz”. We’ll see how it goes. Regardless of the debut album, stay tuned. #MomentOfTruth II, III & IV are on the way…

24: What was your inspiration for the hit single “A lot Like Love”?
There really was nothing specific about it. I heard the beat, wrote the record, recorded it and the response has been great. I leave it up to the listeners to decide what they consider hits. I’m just doin’ me; having fun and making music. that’s why we’re in this business.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you’ve been getting from the songs you’ve released so far?
Yea, the feedback has been great, of course I can’t please everybody, that just comes with the territory though, you kinda have to expect the bad with the good but overall the feedback has been great and I appreciate all the love & support.

24: Do you enjoy the social networking aspect of the game or do you look at it like it’s something you have to do?
I’m internet savvy so I enjoy the social networking. You just gotta pace yourself. It can definitely be extremely beneficial.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2010?
I’m just going to continue making the music I love to make, doing things the way I’ve always done them. I’ll continue to work on my craft & get better.  Everything else should work itself out.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need that you don’t have to make yourself a household name?
A budget. You know how the game goes, you gotta spend money to make money. I ain’t really worried though, I love music too much to let any of that sidetrack or discourage me.

24: And when’s your album coming?
I don’t have a date, I’m barely getting started. I’m still looking for the right production. The right situation. I don’t want to rush it, or force things. Every artist takes pride in their first album, they put a lot into it. It has to be done correctly.

24: What are you currently working on?
I got a couple of projects in the works. I’m working on an album with my close friend “Mercy” Called My Brother’s Keeper (He’s gonna be upset with me for putting it out there like that), & I’m working on the next Mixtape #MomentOfTruth II.

24: How would the fans go about contacting you?
Twitter. @Arch_Bishop. It’s the easiest Way.  I’m working on the Facebook situation.

24: Thank you for providing 24hourhiphop.com with this exclusive interview, do you have any last words for your present and future fans?
I just want to say thank you. I appreciate the love & support. #ShoutOut to #MyTeam, “Mercy” & DyRich. No offense but I’m done singling you nigga’s out.  I love all of y’all, If you don’t feel like your included in that, you aren’t. Stay up, stay tuned. & download The #MomentOfTruth.
