24hourhiphop:  What’s up, introduce yourself to the world.

B.L.B ans:  I go by the name B.L.B.

24hourhiphop:  What’s the meaning behind you name?

B.L.B. ans:  It’s actually the initials for my government name.

24hourhiphop: Tell us alittle bit about your music, what makes B.L.B tick and what are you going to bring to the rap game?

B.L.B ans:  As far as the music, I’m not really in 1 specific genre.  I do all types of music, from R&B to reggae, etc.  I try to touch on everything.  We are trying to reach all different types of consumers.  As far as my style, I don’t consider myself a rapper.  But, I do that, we try everything in my music.

24hourhiphop: Sounds like you got allot of variations to your style.  Does that come from your background or do you just have love for a variety of music?

B.L.B ans:  Yes, I have love for different types of music.  I come form a Jamaican background, I was in the church choir when I was younger, so music was always there.

24hourhiphop: Tell us about some of the artists that influenced you coming up.  Who made you want to be an artist?

B.L.B ans:  Growing up, I didn’t really listen to allot of mainstream music.  I listed to lyricists like Big L and different R&B guys like Marvin Gaye.  I was also big into reggae.  I didn”t listen to allot of rap, because that’s what I did.  So, I tried to stay out of my circle.  I was on a different vibe.

24hourhiphop: What city you representing from?

B.L.B. ans:  I’m born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Everybody in Florida know where Sunland at, so big shout out to them.

24hourhiphop: With the new year coming up, you working on your debut album and a new mixtape, tell us what we can look forward to from B.L.B.

B.L.B ans:  I put out a single “Lequor,” which was on 99 JAMZ WEDR here in Florida.  It was on a mixtape I dropped called “The Interview.”  I’m a new artist, so I said how would I present myself as if I was at a job interview telling someone what I do, for the first time.  It was well received and I had DJ Khaled co-sign it.  Now I’m working on the follow up called “References.”

24hourhiphop:  Cool, so where can the people see B.L.B?  Will you be doing any shows?

B.L.B ans:  Right now, I’m in the studio.  Before, I was in Orlando doing crazy open mic shows.  But now, I’m working hard on my brand, getting my business right and working on sound.

24hourhiphop:  So, who do you vibe out to when you riding in you car?  Who’s in B.L.B’s CD changer?

B.L.B ans:  I listen to allot of Eminem right now.  Since he’s been gone and came back, he’s doing allot of collabs and it seems like he just been chopping ’em up.  That’s who I’m listening to, I like his creativity.

24hourhiphop: What else can you tell us about you, that we may not already know?

B.L.B ans:  I’m a humble dude.  Most rappers fabricate in their music.  I do to, but I try not to touch on just cars, women, etc.  I touch on what I’ve been through in my life.  Like losing my brother, my homeboys getting in situations and music for the clubs.  But, I don’t forget where I came from…  For example, I got my own studio and I be getting calls from dudes that need my help, but can’t afford studio time.  I either work with them or do it for free, I never turn them away.  I remember when it was me and I didn’t have any money.  No that I got my own shit,  you gotta give back in this industry.

24hourhiphop: So you said you got your own shit now.  Is there plans for a company, studio, etc?

B.L.B ans:  Yes, I’m getting everything together now.
