24: I know all the readers will remember you being on the remix to R.Kelly’s “Fiesta” and “I Wish” with Gotti which lead to guys going over to Cash Money then asking to be released so what happened with that?
Boo: Sometimes things don’t always work out the way you hope they do. I had to learn what I could in a short amount of time from R.Kelly to Lil Wayne at Cash Money/Young money. Everyone gave it their best shot and in the end, it wasn’t enough. So, everyone had to make the best business decision for them. We never actually parted ways, everyone is still very much intact but we had to do what we have to for our individual careers.
24: What made you decide you work on a solo album compared to a group album and signing with 404 Music Network as well as running your own label Mobb Boss Entertainment?
Boo: I have much respect for what everyone does. I just decided to take a risk and run with Mob Boss. I know that it was a smart business decision.
24: A lot of the time when a artist leaves they leave on bad terms but that does not seem like the case with you?
Boo: One of the things I believe in the most is to not burn bridges. Anyone from my past and present who needs anything and is genuine, we can get together anytime. And if they need something from me, that’s what I’m here for. I think that everyone had and still has the same goal in mind.
24: So should the readers look forward to a future collaborations with you a Lil Wayne on your up coming album?
Boo: Most definitely. There will be a few collaborations but not too many. This is my chance to prove that I can stand on my own as an artist.
24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with so far?
Boo: The whole idea is to go all out and really do it big. Mannie Fresh, Pharell, Timbaland, Dr. Dre.
24: Tell everyone about Mobb Boss Entertainment and what they should expect to hear and see from you guys in the near future?
Boo: We are definitely looking for artists and branching out into other areas of the entertainment industry.
24: I know the album will becoming this year so have you decided on a single yet and when should the people look out for the video?
Boo: We’re working on the top picks right now. There are so many that as we do this interview we’re actually deciding right now. The video and single will be dropping this summer.
24: What’s next in line for Boo?
Boo: Going Platinum, what else!
24: Tell everyone the best way to stay in tune with all the stuff your working on, etc?
Boo: The best way is through my page at myspace.com/boombe We try to update it as often as possible and reply to all the messages and comments.
24: Any last words you want to leave the streets with?
Boo: I appreciate everyone who has helped “Boo” become an artist and helped implement the realization of Mob Boss Entertainment. My listeners and fans. I will never forget where I am coming from as I continue to look to where I am going.
